Mr. Pang Zhongchun Dies after Years of Torture

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Pang Zhongchun died at 8:00 a.m. on September 30, 2008 in Wendeng City, Shandong Province. He had been illegally arrested nine times by agents of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), simply because he practiced Falun Dafa. As a result, he suffered severe abuse, which caused him to lose his memory.

Pang Zhongchun, 68 years old, lived in Shandong Village, Songcui Township, Wendeng City, Shandong Province. He began to study Falun Dafa in 1995 and told people about the greatness of Dafa. Since the persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20, 1999, Mr. Pang had been to Beijing twice to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa. He was beaten mercilessly and sent to a forced labor camp, but was rejected due to his health condition. CCP officers ransacked his house three times. On July 18, 2000, he participated in a large group practice of the Falun Gong exercises, after which he was confined to the Wendeng Detention Center for seventeen months by CCP officials led by Cong Shuqin, director of the Wendeng political security section. Cong Shuqin said, "Pang Zhongchun, I'll lock you in jail until your death."

Mr. Liu Yufeng, a 64 year old Falun Dafa practitioner from Songcun Township, also participated in the exercise session. When they detained him, he encountered severe abuse and torture by these CCP officials. About 10:00 a.m. on July 22, Liu Yufen was sent back home and died at 7:00 a.m. on July 23. The scars on his body were numerous and his body was covered with over ten big blisters. It was horrible to look at.

Pang Zhongchun wasn't released until February 2002. However, by this time he had lost his memory due to long, severe torture. He could no longer remember Dafa or how to do the exercises. His health condition became worse and worse until a year ago, when he totally lost his speech. It is believed he was severely injured by the drugs administered by CCP officials.
