Two Police Officers Assigned to Monitor a Practitioner End Up Learning the Truth about Falun Gong and Quitting the CCP

(Clearwisdom.net) Lao Zhen (a pseudonym) is 70 years old. Since she started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, all her diseases have disappeared. In July 2008 during the Olympic Games, officials with the township police station ordered her to surrender her personal ID card, to give them her telephone number, and to provide "guarantee" money. She refused, so the police assigned two female officers to live with and monitor Ms. Lao's activities.

Initially the two officers were influenced by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda that defamed Falun Gong, and believed that practitioners were as depicted in slanderous TV programs. They avoided Lao Zhen and were unwilling to talk with her. She took the initiative to talk with them, and was always pleasant and kind. Gradually, the two officers changed their views toward practitioners. Then she began to speak about the truth and about the happiness and harmony of Falun Gong.

She explained, "We cultivate the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. As practitioners, we value good deeds and virtue. We don't take what belongs to others or seek to gain at the expense of others. Our Teacher tells us to always look inward when we encounter conflicts or others' poor conduct, whether it is our fault or not."

Lao Zhen's words and actions had a positive influence on the two officers. She was concerned about their wellbeing and kept asking if they were comfortable. After cooking a meal, she would invite them to join her. The two officers were truly moved and said, "If Falun Gong practitioners were to be appointed government officials, it would be great. You are not corrupt like the officials in power now." Lao Zhen replied, "We practice Falun Gong not for the purpose of obtaining power or being government officials. Our goal is to cultivate ourselves and improve our xinxing."

After living in-house for several days, the two officers noticed that, although she was 70 years old, her face looked healthy and youthful, and she had no illnesses. She was energetic and worked as if she were a young lady. When she rode a bicycle, the two officers could not catch up with her. Her eyesight and hearing were as good as a young person's. One day she bought three tons of coal and transported them home. The two officers helped her unload the coal at home, and Lao Zhen worked with them without getting fatigued.

On another occasion, Lao Zhen noticed that a man drop a hundred-yuan bill on the ground while he was taking something out of his pocket. She picked it up, caught up with him, and returned the money. He was moved by her good deed.

Through their personal experiences living with Lao Zhen, the two officers felt the power and magnificence of Dafa. They also experienced the harmonious relationship between Lao Zhen, her son, and her daughter-in-law, who helped each other with the household work.

In the end, the officers became friendly with Lao Zhen's family and visited her home often. They understood that "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" Later, she spoke to them about quitting the CCP and its associated organizations for their self protection. They quickly agreed to quit the CCP and associated organizations and chose a bright future for themselves.
