Divine Performing Arts Show Receives High Praise in Geneva (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Having just wrapped up six successful shows in Toronto, the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) went on stage in Geneva on October 1, 2008. Celebrities from all circles rewarded every program with warm applause. At the reception audience members had high praise for the beauty of the show.

The venue for the performance was Leman Theatre. The director of the theater, Mr. Claude Proz, saw the show and said, "I am very sensitive to Chinese art, especially such a traditional performance. Only highly skilled artists could have mounted a production of such high standard. I am very pleased our theater was able to host a show of such high quality today! Everyone I saw was smiling. The audience is happy. The sponsors are happy. I am certainly very happy!" Mr. Proz said they had decided to continue working with the Divine Performing Art for more shows in the future. "I hope they will come back soon!"

Mr. Thierry Braik

Mr. Thierry Braik, a banker, thought the dances and music were beautiful and graceful, a balm to the spirit. He had been to China and knew some Chinese history. He thought the show was a perfect combination of the best of the traditional and the modern. Mrs. Braik thought the costumes were unique and the beautiful dances sweet and unforgettable.

Mr. Rurik Giltsoff, a real estate developer, was very excited by the show. He said the background was a wonder and very original and that the colors of the costumes were fascinating. He could easily understand the meaning of the program because of his Asian background.

The Weiler family chatted with the DPA artists at the reception. Mrs. Weiler is Chinese Malaysian. She and her husband have a company in Geneva. One of their sons is a financial analyst and the other a jewelry dealer. Mrs. Weiler told the reporter, "The Divine Performing Arts portrayed traditional Chinese culture through the show. It makes overseas Chinese very proud. I proudly tell my friends I am Chinese!" Mrs. Weiler thought the show was very successful and that it showed the best of Chinese culture from different ages and different regions.

Ms. Lyle, one of the sponsors of the show, said, "As a sponsor of the show, I had seen the beautiful brochure. But I was still astonished when I actually saw the wonderful performance! I have never seen such a show. The music, the stage design, the lighting, and the artists' outstanding performances-- everything was perfect!"

Divine Performing Arts is a non-profit entity based in North America. It aspires to preserve and renew a largely-lost cultural tradition while celebrating human dignity and positive values. The company seeks to produce an art that is not only rich, relevant, and inspiring, but also one that offers audiences of all ages a rare experience of consummate beauty and goodness.

The company was invited to give two shows in Geneva in March 2008 and won high praise. The DPA has given more than 200 shows in more than 60 cities around the world since December 2007 and captivated more than 600,000 audience members.
