(Clearwisdom.net) Even though the three-month 2008 Zaragoza Expo in Spain has come to a close, the Expo site remains a famous tourist attraction. Falun Gong practitioners came to the tiny park near the Pasarela Delvoluntariado, one of the Expo's landmark facilities, to raise awareness about Falun Gong and expose the inhuman persecution taking place in China.

People sign the petition to support the efforts to end the persecution of Falun Gong

A man got off his bicycle to ask about the practice of Falun Gong. A practitioner replied that Falun Gong is an ancient Chinese cultivation practice based on the universal principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, with five gentle exercises that are easy to learn. He said that practitioners cultivate in ordinary society and strive to look at things according to the criteria of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practitioners further explained that Falun Gong books have been translated into over 30 languages and Falun Gong is practiced by over 100 million people in more than 80 countries around the world. The man said that he was interested in the practice and would look into it further.

Answering the frequently asked question, "Why has the persecution happened?" practitioners explained that since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) took power, about 80 million people, which is almost twice the population of Spain, have been killed in China during an era of peace. The CCP maintains its autocratic power by means of lies and violence and uses the prosperity on the surface to cover up its vicious atrocities. As the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is like a mirror that is able to reflect the regime's evil nature, the CCP was so fearful and jealous that it launched this cruel persecution.

Many people said that they would like to help Falun Gong practitioners opposing the persecution, and many signed a petition to support Falun Gong.

One passerby viewed the display boards depicting the CCP's atrocities and was shocked. She then signed the petition without a second thought. Another woman read the display boards and told the practitioners that she hoped the persecution could be ended as soon as possible. A man shook hands with practitioners and wished them good luck.
