(Clearwisdom.net) Sometime ago, a practitioner and I caught a bus to deliver newspapers. As we were about to get off the bus and continue our journey on the subway, I noticed that a cell phone had been left on one of the seats. My first thought was to leave it, as we were busy moving a large box of The Epoch Times newspapers to another distribution center for other practitioners to collect. My thinking was that I should not let outside influences interfere with me when I'm doing things for Dafa.

Then I remembered how terrible it was when I lost my cell phone. It wasn't that long ago, and it was the same model as this one. I remembered from a recent discussion that we talked about not wanting to do something and using the excuse, "What I am doing now is more important."

I picked up the cell phone and started to go through the phone book to look for someone who could then contact the owner. As I was doing this, the practitioner with me handed out flyers to passers-by. I dialed the number under "Dad" in the phone book, and when I spoke with the person's "Dad", his reaction was one of surprise. The owner's father did not believe someone would return his daughter's cell phone. He found it suspicious and asked me many questions. Finally, in order to remove his worries, I told him that I was a Falun Dafa practitioner and the principles that a cultivator follows. He finally agreed to meet with me later that day. The location just happened to be the place where I was planning to hand out The Epoch Times newspaper and also to meet another practitioner whom I had not seen for a while.

I arrived at the meeting place at the agreed upon time to find the owner's father already waiting for me. He thanked me repeatedly. I gave him a Falun Dafa flyer, but he asked for more. He repeatedly apologized for not trusting me and explained that when someone finds a cell phone, very few people would actually return the phone to its rightful owner. We continued to talk for a long time, and he decided to bring his wife to our practice site.

I felt really good the whole day. Even though this is a very simple good deed, many knots in my heart were loosened. I finally made a breakthrough, giving up a little comfort for the sake of others.
