(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in 18 cities or counties in seven provinces. Twenty-nine Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 17 practitioners were arrested.

Personnel from the Shangqiu City 610 Office, from the Political and Judiciary Committee and from the Police Department planned to hold a trial for several practitioners incarcerated in the city's Pingtai Detention Center. They included Mr. Ba Wei, Ms. Sun Xiuying, Ms. Wang Xiulan, Mr. Tao Jingjun and Mr. Zhou Pingping. They also transferred the following persons to the Pingtai Detention Center in Shangqiu: Ms. Chen Chunyan and Ms. Pang Yan, held in the Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City; Ms. Zhou Xuening, held in the Shandong Province No. 2 Forced Labor Camp; and Ms. He Yinghua and Ms. Zhou Pingping, held in the province's No.1 Women's Forced Labor Camp. These practitioners are scheduled to be sentenced soon.

Mr. Zhao Xuemin works in the Hebei Province Power Plant Training Center. Personnel from the Shijiazhuang City Yuxing Police Station arrested him at his home at 5:00 p.m. on July 3, 2006. He is still being held in the city's No.1 Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Suyun from Tanghe County was arrested in her hometown in Sichuan Province. She is held in the Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City.

Several policemen broke into Ms. Zhang Meiying's home in Fengyidian Village, Fengyi Town, Longkou City on the night of October 25, 2008. Ms. Zhang is held in the city's Zhangjiagou Detention Center.

Prior to the arrest, policemen Gao Jizhao and Diao Fujian in Fengyi Town and Mu Qianjin, the village's security section chief, ransacked Ms. Zhang's home several times. They confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books and some truth-clarifying materials.

Ms. Liu Zhaoxiu, 56 years old, is a retiree from the Wulian County Construction Company in Hongning Village, Hongning Town. Personnel from the county's police department arrested her at 10:00 a.m. on November 1, 2008.

Personnel from the Xinminchang Town Police Station arrested Ms. Zheng Yuhua and her daughter Ms. Zhang Hongqiong in Xinminchang Town, Pi County on October 4, 2008. The police confiscated some Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials and her electric car.

Personnel from the Gaoxin District Police Department and from the Shiqiaopu Police Station arrested Mr. Li Fang, Mr. Li and Ms. Li while working in the Yuanda Technology Company in the Gaoxin District on October 24, 2008. They also arrested Ms. Huang Bingrong, Ms. Zhang Yuman and Ms. Tang from the company. In addition, officers from the Shiqiaopu Police Station confiscated desktop computers, laptop computers and printers from the company. Ms. Zhang Yuman has been released while the other five are held in the Huayan Detention Center in the Jiulongpo District.

Ms. Liang Jueye from Lucun Town, Yiyuan County, Shandong Province has been held in the Zibo City Brainwashing Center for three months. For refusing to renounce Falun Gong she was severely abused and has suffered a mental breakdown as a result.

Ms. Qi Yunping, a teacher from the Machang Primary School in Suji Town, Haixing County has been held since July 23, 2007 and has staged several hunger strikes. Ms. Qi was put into the Shijiazhuang City Prison on October 15, 2008.

Personnel from the Huoshishan Police Station arrested Mr. Liu Zhongjun, Mr. Ma Wanlin and Ms. Xu Chunmei on June 24, 2008. The arrest happened when the three practitioners explained the facts about Falun Gong. Police put them into the Anda Detention Center and confiscated a minivan with three Dafa books, personal items and some cash.

The three were held for a month and then released on July 25, 2008. Police extorted 10,000 yuan from each of them and ordered them to report to the detention center every month.

Ms. Xu is severely ill after the one month-detention and was placed into the Daqing City People's Hospital.

Mr. Gong Yuanchao, 67 years old, sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor.

Ms. Jiang Dejun, 63 years old, sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.

Mr. Tang Mingbi, Mr. Tang Quan and Mr. Li Guangbi have also been sentenced, but it is unknown for how long.

Five practitioners are held in the Cang County Detention Center. They are Mr. Li Fuhang, Ms. Zhao Junfeng, Mr. Zhang Kanzhong, Mr. Li Bing'an and Ms. Liu Rujun. Personnel from the county's Domestic Security Division arrested them before the Olympic Games. Their cases have been submitted to the county's procuratorate office.

Nongken Administration Bureau Court agents in Mudanjiang City planned to sentence several practitioners on November 6, 2008. They are Ms. Zhang Chengyu, Mr. Liu Rihao and his wife, Mr. Yang Dianjun and his wife Ms. Ba Fenglian, employees from the Bureau's No. 8511 Farm.

Personnel from the Nanyang City Police Department went to Mr. Zhou Hongyu's home in Zaolin Street, Nanyang City at noon on October 23, 2008. They confiscated a computer, a printer and many other items worth a total of around 60,000 yuan.

Mr. Zhou is a farmer in Dengzhou City. He and his wife had worked in Guangzhou City for several years and had just come back. However, the police confiscated their salaries. Mr. Zhou is held in the city's Diaohe Detention Center, and his wife and mother-in-law are now homeless.
