A Village Head Rescues Practitioners from a Brainwashing Center

(Clearwisdom.net) Late in 2001, in a village in Hebei Province, three Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested and taken to a county brainwashing center by officials from the 610 Office. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel tried to force these kind people into giving up their practice, which these practitioners refused to do. They explained to the staff that Falun Dafa is good and teaches people to be kind, and that the CCP and Jiang's regime would suffer retribution for persecuting innocent practitioners. They asked the staff members to stop their wrongdoings and choose a bright future for themselves. They said, "It's not wrong to be kind. The 610 Office personnel have detained us. They are committing crimes that heaven will not tolerate."

It was almost time for the Spring Festival. The other practitioners in that village talked about what they could do to help rescue the three detained practitioners and decided that one of them should ask the village head to bring them home while the rest sent forth righteous thoughts at home. The one practitioner went to the home of the village head and told him the whole story. The village head, who already knew the truth about Dafa, asked, "Are they really going to release them? I don't know for sure." This practitioner said, "Of course they will. Evil cannot suppress genuine righteousness. In addition, you know that Falun Gong is good and we are all good people. If you can rescue them, you will be doing a good deed and accumulating virtue for yourself." He thought for a while and said, "OK, we will go tomorrow."

The next morning they went to the county brainwashing center and found the person in charge. The village head said, "I am the head of Such-and Such Village. Several farmers from our village have been detained here for two weeks. The Spring Festival is approaching, and I want to take them home so that they can be reunited with their families." The person in charge said, "No, they are not brainwashed yet. Will you take responsibility if you take them back?" The village head put his hand on his chest and said, "You have to release them. You are a bunch of unscrupulous people. You don't arrest thieves and other criminals; you only arrest kind people. How can you face those villagers? You can go home and celebrate the Spring Festival with your families. But how are they going to make the Spring Festival? Where is your conscience? I am telling you, you have to release them. Their families and I will be here tomorrow to take them home. I will take full responsibility. In our village, when it's time to pay for water and electricity, these practitioners always pay on time. When we distributed land, they never complained when they got the land that others didn't want. Where can you find such kind people? Only people who believe in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance can do this." After saying this, the village head and the practitioner walked out.

The next day, the village head and the families of the practitioners went to the county brainwashing center and took them home. After that, the practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts every day. The brainwashing sessions were soon discontinued.
