We Must Not Mix in Our Human Attachments When We Clarify the Facts

(Clearwisdom.net) When we pass out information on the persecution, to save sentient beings in relatively loose environments or under harsh conditions, different mentalities will have different effects. I would like to share with everyone my recent experience of exposing the facts, hoping that we, as a one-body, will do a better job in the three things that Master has requested of us.

In early October 2008, several practitioners and I went to a rural area to present the truth of the persecution to people. We took a bus, as it was quite far away from where we lived. While on board, we persuaded a few people to withdraw from the evil Communist Party. After we got off the bus, we tried to clarify the facts to everyone we met on the road. Things went smoothly. People whom we believed had predestined relationships with us quit the evil Party immediately after they learned about the truth. I was happily thinking to myself at that time: Everything is going very smoothly today. Unconsciously, my attachments of zealotry and complacency surfaced. Because of my negligence, I was not paying attention to any security issues. I felt I was lacking wisdom and rationality, and only pursued results--the number of people quitting the Party. Thus, as I was explaining the facts to a young man on a motorcycle, not only didn't he listen to me, but he drove off quickly. Some people standing next to me said this young man was a cadre of the village. Naturally, he wouldn't believe what I told him. At that time, I was not aware that Master might have used ordinary people's mouths to remind me of the security issue. As a result, a police car came by almost immediately--in less than 10 minutes. Two police officers stepped out of the car, and, without a word, arrested an elderly practitioner and me. They continued to search for other practitioners. One practitioner managed to escape the scene. Later, as this practitioner recalled the incident, she said that during the critical moment, she thought to herself: No evil can see me. As a result, the police didn't see her even when they stood right in front of her. They were even yelling,"Where is she?"

When we were in the detention center, we shared with one another about why we ended up being arrested. As we were looking inward, we realized that we had each shown some degree of zealotry and complacency. After successfully persuading a few people to quit the evil Party, we all felt overly enthusiastic, and were not being vigilant to Master's warning. As a result, the evil took advantage of our widely opened loopholes.

After we enlightened to our shortcomings and inadequacies, we were determined to do better the next time and to completely deny the evil persecution. While being detained, we kept bearing in mind Master's teaching: to do the three things well and to let go of our attachments. Because we were reinforced by Master, we had no fear of anything. What filled our minds was only doing the three things well, that is, saving the sentient beings who were poisoned by the evil CCP by clarifying the facts to them, and letting them know the beauty and goodness of Falun Dafa. We persuaded many prisoners and police officers to quit the CCP in just a few days. At the beginning, some people who didn't know about the truth asked me, "At your elderly age, what are you trying to gain from this anyway?" I told them, "I am after nothing. I only want you to know the truth and the wickedness of the CCP, so that you will have a bright future." They all felt the power and compassion of practitioners and Dafa. Even those police officers who were very crude to us before had changed their attitudes and smiled at us.

By the sixth night of our detention, I suddenly recalled what Master once taught, "Good or bad comes from one thought." I thought to myself: I shouldn't be locked up here by the evil. I am a Dafa disciple, and there are still many sentient being who are waiting for me to save them. I must leave this cell tonight. After two minutes, my heartbeat suddenly became very erratic, and my upper body was shaking. But I felt fearless. In less than one hour, the police called my family to take me home.

My heart was filled with gratitude and firm belief in Master and the Fa. I have enlightened that when Dafa disciples walk their paths righteously, the evil will not dare to interfere with them, even if it wanted to, because we are Master's disciples. I have also enlightened to why some practitioners' hearts aren't very pure when they clarify the facts to people in relatively loose environments, while other practitioners can easily let go of their attachments amidst tribulations. This is all because of their attachments to life and death and comfort. A wealthy person is afraid of losing what he has, while a poor person with many misfortunes won't be afraid of losing anything, as he has nothing to lose anyway. Naturally, he can easily let go of what he has.
