Ms. Li Wenjun was taken to Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp after she was taken into custody in July 2008. She has been on hunger strike in the labor camp. According to reports from the labor camp, Ms. Li's life is in imminent danger.

At around 9:00 p.m. on September 13, 2008, members of the Wennan Town 610 Office and officers from the local police station in Xintai City jumped over the wall to break into Ms. Li Maoju's home in the Xinzhuang area of Wennan Town. The police took into custody Ms. Li, who was home alone. They found two issues of "Minghui Weekly." Ms. Li was interrogated and tortured. She has been held in the Xintai City Detention Center for 15 days. She was released after having 1,400 yuan in cash extorted from her.

4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xu Juhua Unlawfully Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Xu Juhua, a practitioner in the Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, was taken into custody by Tianhe District 610 Office personnel on April 7, 2007. In October 2008, Ms. Xu was secretly sentenced to four years in prison even though no legal procedures were followed. She has been taken to Taihe Prison in Guangzhou City.
5. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zuo Shougang Brutally Beaten
On the afternoon of July 13, 2008, Yang Jiukui, head of the Domestic Security Division of the Shuangqiao Police Department in Chengde City, and other officers took Mr. Zuo Shougang into custody. The officers then jumped over the wall to pry open Mr. Zuo's door. His wife tried to stop the police from entering their home, and she was taken to a detention center.
In the detention center, the police tried everything they could in order to deceive Mr. Zuo. They tortured him mentally and physically. Mr. Zuo sustained injuries all over his body. He remains at the Chengde City Detention Center.

Ms. Huang Xiuying, 49, was taken into custody by local police station officers after the police received a report that she was giving out DVDs with Falun Gong content on July 31, 2008. At around 6:30 on November 7, the Luyuan District Court secretly tried Ms. Huang Xiuying.
7. [Qinghai Province] Ms. Li Zhi Secretly Held at Qinghai Province Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Li Zhi, 42, was taken into custody on the afternoon of July 22, 2008, while she was telling others the facts about Falun Gong in downtown Xining City. She was taken to the No. 2 Detention Center affiliated with the Ershilipu Police Department in Xining City, where Li Fang (female), a division head, and other guards abused her.
Around August 18, Ms. Li was transferred to the Qinghai Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. It has been reported that she has been held in a courtyard by herself.
8. [Sichuan Province] Additional Information on Mr. Huang Hua in Custody
Mr. Huang Hua, who was taken into custody by state security officers on August 9, 2008, is facing trial at the Nanxi County Court in Yibin City, Sichuan Province. At around noon on November 4, he was turned in to the police for telling others the facts about the persecution, and officers from the Xinming Police Station took him away. The police took him to the Dabailou Detention Center the same night without notifying his family.

A young practitioner with the surname Fu (gender unknown) was secretly taken into custody on October 22, 2008. The practitioner was released after 24 hours of continuous police interrogation.
21. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Guoming Taken into Custody
Mr. Xu Guoming, 47, is an employee of the Fushun Aluminum Factory. At around 11:30 on November 2, he was taken into custody near the Nanshan Water Tower on Cigou Street in the Dongzhou District. Mr. Xu's whereabouts are unknown.
22. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Officers from Dongfeng Police Station Smash Locks to Break into Ms. Sun Yulan's Home
At around 9:00 a.m. on November 4, 2008, a dozen or so officers, led by Shi Zhenhai, director of the Dongfeng Police Station in Mudanjiang City, arrived at Ms. Sun Yulan's home. A woman who claimed to be from the neighborhood administration office knocked on the door. She said she was there to register all residents. Ms. Sun's daughter was home alone, so she told the official that no adults were in and she could not open the door. The police then smashed the lock and pried open the door, completely destroying the newly installed steel gate. The police forced their way in, ransacked the place, and took Falun Dafa books, Fa lecture DVDs, and DVDs with truth clarifying content.
It was reported that the police then went to Ms. Fu Fengmei's home to harass her.

Mr. Cheng, 67, is a retired teacher. His retirement salary has been suspended. Ms. Yang, 60, is a housewife.

On or around October 16, 2008, Ms. Cao Xiucheng, in her 60s, was taken into custody while telling others about Falun Dafa. Ms. Cao, who lives in Jiaozhou City, was initially taken to the Ducun Detention Center in Jiaozhou City. Early in November, she was sentenced to one year of forced labor and taken to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.
30. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Shufeng Taken into Custody in Shanghai
Mr. Li Shufeng was working for the Huarong Group Company in Caowang Town, Jiading District, Shanghai, after he graduated from college. At 2:00 p.m. on November 3, 2008, officers from the local police station and state security officers took him into custody at work. His whereabouts are unknown.
31. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Guiyun Tortured While in Police Custody
At 8:00 a.m. on May 3, 2008, Ms. Xu Guiyun was at home. A dozen 610 Office officers, led by someone with the surname of Wang, suddenly broke in. They ransacked her home and took Ms. Xu and two technicians, who are not practitioners, to the police station. After interrogation, they released the technicians. Ms. Xu was tied to a metal chair, handcuffed, and viciously beaten. The police then threw her to the ground before pushing her outdoors into the pouring rain. For five days, she was deprived of food and drink and was not allowed to go to the restroom. Her legs and feet became terribly swollen.
The police then took her to Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao. On June 23, the police transferred her to the 610 Office Brainwashing Center in Qingdao City. On July 23, Ms. Xu was released after her family had 3,000 "yuan" in cash extorted from them.

Mr. Guo Yongxue, Ms. Wang Yinglan, and Ms. Fu Yufang from Tai'an County were taken to a detention center by officers from the Tai'an County Police Department and state security officers on October 28. The police searched the homes of Mr. Guo Yongxue, Mr. Ma Tianjiang, and Mr. Huang Dahai and confiscated computers and printers. Mr. Ma Tianjiang, Mr. Huang Daha, and two other practitioners have been forced to leave town with nowhere to live in order to avoid unlawful arrest.

On August 1, Mr. Wang Haogui was sentenced to forced labor by the Wangsheren Town 610 Office in Licheng District even though no legal procedures were followed. It has been reported that Mr. Wang has been diagnosed with liver cancer. He remains in solitary confinement in the No. 7 Division of the Shandong No. 2 Forced Labor Camp. Labor camp officials have refused to release him.

46. [Chongqing] Mr. Tang Jihua Taken into Custody Again after Six Years in Prison
Mr. Tang Jihua was formerly a computer teacher at Nanchuan High School. In 2000, he was unlawfully sentenced to six years in prison. In the second half of 2006 he was released. On June 18, 2008, Mr. Tang was taken into custody again. Ms. Zhang Renmei was arrested at the same time. Ms. Zhang has been sentenced to 18 months of forced labor. A production site of Falun Gong materials was sabotaged. It has been reported that a student who supported Falun Dafa after learning the truth about the persecution has also been taken into police custody.
47. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Zonglin Taken to Three Hospitals
Mr. Yang Zonglin was taken to the Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp. The police in Pingliang City did not notify his family. Recently, Mr. Yang's condition has deteriorated. The police briefed his family only when his life was in imminent danger, and he has been taken to three major hospitals in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province.

Mr. Weng Weiliang, 34, is an engineer at the No. 1 Division of the Huangshi City No. 15 Metallurgy Company. On the evening of November 4, 2008, officers from the Laoxialu Police Station in Huangshi City broke into Mr. Weng's residence. They searched his home and confiscated several Falun Dafa books. Mr. Weng is being held at the Baguazui Detention Center in Huangshi City. The police viciously beat him.

49. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liao Shenglan Taken to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Liao Shenglan, approximately 40 years old, lives in the No. 9 Group of the No. 2 Division in Xining Township, Suining City. She was taken to a detention center for distributing brochures in the farm market in Yufeng Town on August 8, 2008. On August 14, officers from the Yufeng Town Police Station took her out of the detention center. However, on August 15, officers from the Xining Police Station searched her home and found Falun Dafa books. As a result, the officers took her back to the detention center, where she stayed until September 9. On October 6, officers from the Yufeng Town Police Station called her and told her that she could pick up her bicycle. The police took her into custody and sent her to the Jianyang County Forced Labor Camp for one year of forced labor.
