(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Cheng, a Falun Dafa (a.k.a Falun Gong) practitioner residing in Huanan County, was sentenced to five years in prison in Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province. On October 28, 2008, he was taken to No. 861 Prison in Qitaihe City.
Mr. Li Cheng, over 30 years old, had brain tumors and thalamic hemorrhage. He could not care for himself as he is severely disabled. When his disease occurred, he went into a coma. Later, he went to Jiamusi City. He was diagnosed with six brain tumors. Twelve years ago, a doctor concluded that he could not live longer than one year and a half. In 1996, Mr. Li started practicing Falun Gong. He changed greatly according to the requirement of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" of being a good person. Eventually his health was restored. He was able to take care of himself and make a living by driving a Gangtian motorcycle. However, because of his faith in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," he was frequently mistreated.
In June 2005, Mr. Li was arrested and detained for almost three months by agents of the National Security Division, Huanan County. They were planning to take him to a labor camp in Jiamusi City, but could not because of his disability.
On the morning of June 15, 2006, when Mr. Li was renting out a Gangtian motorcycle at the Xinhua Market, he was arrested and taken to the National Security Division in Huanan County. Later, he was taken to the labor camp twice, but was rejected due to his condition. The authorities finally sentenced Mr. Li to three years of forced labor after thee days of collecting extorting money from his family. After a certain period of time, he was released due to his health condition.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. on June 27, 2008, Mr. Li was reported when he was clarifying the truth at the Laojieji Village, Yanjia Town. The police vehicle was assigned from the Yanjia Station to arrest Li Cheng. Later Mr. Li was transferred to the National Security Division, Huanan County. Before he was taken into a prison, he was detained at the Huanan Detention Center.
Currently, Li Cheng is in poor health. He has reoccurring symptoms of old ailments. One of his arms does not function well.
