Learning Falun Dafa and Gaining a New Life

(Clearwisdom.net) I suffered from liver cancer and had surgery in October 2006. I kept going to the doctor at the hospital and had huge medical expenses that year. I remained on medication during that entire year. I also suffered for the whole year. Then I obtained Falun Dafa. In Lecture One of Zhuan Falun, "Genuinely Guiding People Toward High Levels," Teacher said:

"I do not talk about healing illness here, and neither will we heal illness. As a genuine practitioner, however, you cannot practice cultivation with an ill body. I will purify your body. The body purification will be done only for those who come to truly learn the practice and the Fa. We emphasize one point: If you cannot relinquish the attachment or concern for illness, we cannot do anything and will be unable to help you."

At that moment, I let go of the "illness" and regarded myself as a practitioner. I paid attention to xinxing cultivation and cultivated myself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I was strict with myself.

Sure enough, I got better day by day. I was determined to behave according to the principles in Zhuan Falun. I made up my mind to be a true practitioner. I kept studying the Fa, practicing the exercises, cultivating my xinxing, and looking within when I encountered tribulations. One day I had a severe stomachache and vomited badly. I felt uncomfortable whether I sat or stood up. I remembered that in Zhuan Falun Teacher said, "When it's difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it's impossible to do, you can do it." I knew that Teacher was purifying my body. I shouted in my backyard, "When it's difficult to endure, you can endure it! When it's impossible to do, you can do it!" In my heart I was very grateful to Teacher. After a time my stomachache disappeared and I slept. Everything was all right, as if nothing had happened.

I have gained over five kilos (eleven pounds). I don't feel tired after returning to the center of town on my bicycle. My entire family believes that Falun Dafa is good. My father and my brother have started to practice Falun Dafa.

Anyone who sees me inquires about my good health. I tell them the reason is because I practice Falun Dafa. In the past I was known in my village as a cancer patient. Oftentimes, the villagers come over to inquire about the miraculous nature of Falun Dafa. Some people have already started practicing Falun Dafa.

Teacher teaches us to live a life according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We are striving, and we will become extra-ordinary persons. I only have one goal now, which is to walk well on the cultivation path, help Teacher to rectify the Fa, and do well the three things.
