Fellow Practitioners, Please Treasure the Dafa Books

(Clearwisdom.net) I have been wanting to write about my understandings and improvement in cultivation, but I was blocked by my human attachment of worry that I may not write a good article. I really feel ashamed about that, as it is actually selfish and irresponsible. I always read fellow practitioners' articles with the desire to gain something. How selfish and lazy I was! Yesterday, I ran into something which moved me a lot, so I made a decision to write down my thoughts to share with fellow practitioners.

1. Before the Olympic Games, the local authorities arrested more than ten practitioners and detained them in a brainwashing center. They also brought some former practitioners to try brainwashing them. In the meantime, the practitioners' families were pressured to hand over Dafa books. After the books were collected, the authorities demanded that the practitioners burn the books. During the burning, it suddenly rained heavily. After the Olympics, the practitioners were released. They requested Dafa books from fellow practitioners, saying, "I cannot go without Dafa books."

At that time, they didn't realize that they should safeguard Dafa. Some perhaps even thought that they weren't the only ones to burn the book, that they could still get Dafa books in the future, and could go to the materials sites to get all Dafa books. Fellow practitioners, Dafa books are really more precious than our lives. Before the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the evil saw that some practitioners didn't treasure Dafa books, and they simply did not respect Teacher and the Fa. That facilitated their desire to destroy the books. Now the evil forces are demanding that practitioners destroy Dafa books themselves. That is not a trivial issue.

2. Currently, there are three situations in local areas. First, some practitioners own a whole set of new books, and showed them to other practitioners, then requested additional sets from the materials sites. Sometimes, they requested more than ten sets at a time (each set has more than ten books). Second, some practitioners believed that they didn't have all of Teacher's articles, so they requested a whole set of new books. Some practitioners think the books they bound themselves are not as good as the new books, so they also requested a set of books. Third, every practitioner in the Fa-study group has a set, but the group also owns a set for public use. Sometimes, this set is placed in some practitioner's home which serves as the Fa-study site, so the practitioners don't need to bring a book with them. They thought that it was both convenient and safe. Recently, this Fa-study site was destroyed and all the Dafa books were confiscated. The practitioners then requested books again from the materials sites. Some everyday people have learned the truth about Dafa and began to learn Dafa. Some practitioners have immediately obtained a whole set of books and sent them to the new practitioners, but this kind of situation is very rare.

Practitioners at the materials sites bear the responsibilities of making and distributing truth-clarifying materials over a big area. The money is also saved by living frugally to rescue sentient beings, and can not be spent to satisfy our desires. If each of us could offer our extra books to practitioners who don't have the books or to new practitioners, that would reduce the pressure on practitioners in the materials sites.

Since March 2008, practitioners at local materials sites have been under huge pressure. Several times, the practitioners have been arrested, the materials sites were moved, and two sites were totally destroyed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents. One practitioner who was specifically responsible for making Dafa books has been detained in a detention center for nearly half a year. I think the persecution he suffered is related to the local practitioners' behavior. Our resources are limited. Our time, manpower, and money should be used for saving sentient beings. If most of our efforts are being put into making Dafa books for practitioners who actually don't really need the books, the old forces will know that. So will they let the practitioners go? They will see the attachment, and then they will persecute our whole body one step after another.

I suggest that all practitioners treasure the materials sites, Dafa books, and truth-clarifying materials. I spent some time sending forth righteous thoughts for the practitioners and the materials in the materials sites to reduce their pressure. By eliminating all rotten ghosts and evil specters who have interfered with the materials sites, we can help them operate smoothly and save more sentient beings.
