Mr. Shi Changlin Dies from Persecution in Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Shi Changlin lived in Houyang Village, Chengguan Township in Yi County, Liaoning Province. He began practicing Falun Dafa in December 1999. On February 7, 2002, Houyang Village Security Chairman Li Wenhuan deceived Mr. Shi into going to the village office. An officer waiting there asked him, "Are you still practicing Falun Gong?" Mr. Shi did not answer him directly, but instead he clarified the truth to the officer. He was thus detained for 15 days in the Yi County Detention Center.

On the evening of February 18, 2003, officers from the Chengguan Police Station, Chen Nailian, Yang Chengwen, Li Baoyou and three others, intruded into Mr. Shi's home by climbing over the yard fence and kicking open his door. They ransacked his home, arrested him, and took his DVD player, two lamps, and incense burner. They threw Mr. Shi over the fence (the yard gate was never opened), climbed out, then carried him into the vehicle.

After being detained in the Yi County Detention Center for three months, Mr. Shi was sentenced to two years of forced labor and taken to the Wangtun Labor Camp in Jinzhou City. While he was detained doing forced labor, Mr. Shi refused to give up his faith, and he was tortured cruelly. The guards tied him with ropes and forced him to sit on wooden boards for a long time. He vomited and passed out due to the mental and physical abuse.

In the autumn of 2004, Mr. Shi was released, but he was very weak. Only seven days after returning home, he witnessed his older brother and sister-in-law's arrests by Yi County Domestic Security agents. He felt severely threatened and would shudder whenever his door opened.

In the summer of 2008, there was a large-scale arresting spree during the pre-Olympics season that included Yi County. This terror caused Mr. Shi Changlin extreme pain and tension. His weak body could not bear such huge mental pressure any longer and he died on the morning of July 15, 2008.
