Additional Persecution News from China - November 25, 2008 (16 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of
persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces. In this
report, 21 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their
detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested. On the afternoon of November 14, 2008, Mr. Luo Qihua was arrested by the Yun
County 610 Office in Shiyan City. Currently he is being detained in
the Yun County First Detention Center. His family is not allowed to visit him. 2. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Meng Bo Harassed On the morning of November 21, 2008, four or five policemen broke into the
home of Mr. Meng Bo and searched it. Since 1999, the police have often gone to
his home and harassed him. He has been followed and monitored. His property has
been confiscated. 3. [Chongqing City] Recent Information about Mr. Kang Hong After both of Mr. Kang Hong's legs were broken as a result of torture, he
refused to accept "treatment." Now he is being detained in Xishanping.
He has become mentally unstable. 4. [Beijing] Mr. Han Fei Arrested At 1:00 a.m. on August 7, 2008, officers of the Pingfang Police Station went
to the home of Mr. Han Fei and arrested him. He was held in the Changying
Detention Center. The police confiscated Dafa books and
truth-clarifying materials from his home. Now his whereabouts are
unknown. 5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Shukun and Three Dafa
Practitioners Arrested On November 11, 2008, the Chuanying Court illegally opened a session against
Mr. Liu Chengda, Ms. Wang Ying, and Mr. Li Hailong. At the entrance to Chuanying
Court, Mr. Zhang Shukun, Ms. Ren Yumei, Ms. Wu Cuie, and Mr. Dong Lijie were
arrested. Now they are being held in the Jilin City Detention Center. 6. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Shen Jian SentencedMr. Shen Jian,
45 years old, lives in Zicheng Community, Zichuan District, Zibo City. Since
July 20, 1999, he has been detained in the Zichuan Detention Center for almost a
month. He had a large amount of money extorted from him. Later on, he was often
harassed and threatened. On the evening of May 18, 2008, when Mr. Shen had just arrived home, he was
surrounded by about twenty people from the police department, the national
security, and the 610 Office of the Zichuan District. After arguing for four or
five hours, he was taken away by force. Even his wife, two nephews, and a
sanitation worker who just spoke out on his behalf were also arrested. None of
the four others are practitioners. The four were released after being fined. Mr.
Shen is being detained and brutally tortured in the Zichuan Detention Center. 8. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Ye Chunyan and Two Other
Practitioners Secretly Sentenced On March 8, 2008, Ms. Ye Chunyan, Ms. Li Nan, and Ms. Lin Tianqing were
arrested while they were distributing information relating to the persecution of
Falun Gong. They were detained in the Fumin County Detention Center. Ms. Li and
Ms. Lin were transferred to the Wuhua District Detention Center in Kunming City.
In middle of October 2008, Ms. Ye was secretly sentenced to three years'
imprisonment, Ms. Li Nan to four years; Ms. Lin Tianqing to five years. Two of
them were taken to the Yunnan Province Second Women's Prison, the other to
Kunming Women's Forced Labor Camp. 9. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Jin Changhong Arrested On November 19, 2008, Mr. Jin Changhong was arrested at his office in
Xiangfang by police from Shiyan City and Yun County. A computer, printer, and
other office supplies in his office were confiscated. His whereabouts is
unknown. 11. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Jinglun and Three Other
Practitioners Face Sentence At 8:00 p.m. on August 20, 2008, officers from the national security team of
Bin County Police Department and the Shengli Town Police Station surrounded the
home of Mr. Wang Jinglun, a retired teacher. All of the 13 Falun Gong
practitioners at his home were arrested and taken to the Bin County Detention
Center. Some have been released. Others have been taken to Qianjin Forced Labor
Camp in Harbin City. Mr. Wang and three other practitioners are still being
detained. The Bin County Court plans to try Mr. Wang Jinglun, Mr. Liu Zhongquan,
Mr. Zhang Shusheng, and Ms. Gao Guiqin on December 1, 2008. Liu Fulin, Dean of the Bin County Court: 86-451-57983867, 86-13634809966 12. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Qiu Chunmei and Ms. Lin Meiling
Persecuted On November 21, 2008, Ms. Qiu Chunmei and Ms. Lin Meiling from Jiaoling
County were reported while distributing information about the persecution and
practice of Falun Gong. The Jiaoling County 610 Office of Meizhou City arrested
them and persecuted them in a detention center. On the morning of November 22, 2008, 62-year-old Mr. Yang Xingrong was
reported while he was distributing information about Falun Dafa. He was arrested
by Nanshan Road Police Station officers. His home was also searched. The police
took away Dafa books, Master's teaching video tape,s and truth-clarifying
materials. That night, he was transferred to the Zhifu District Police
Department. On November 23, 2008, he was taken to the Nanjiao Detention Center. Nanshan Road Police Station: 86-535-6223605 Around August 10, 2008, Mr. Hu Jian, Mr. Cai Guorong, Ms. Zhang Juxiang, Mr.
Zhang Ruiwu, and Ms. Lu Ruiying were arrested. Their families were not allowed
to visit them. 15. [Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang Chunhe Faces Sentence Ms. Zhang Chunhe, 50 years old, is a middle accountant. She was a former head
of the finance section of Zengcheng Materials Management Company. In 2002, she
was fired. In 2004, she worked in the Zengcheng Plastic Bag Factory, a private
company. In 1999, the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang Chunhe was
detained and sent to a forced labor camp and brainwashing sessions many times.
On July 23, 2008, she was arrested on the way to work by the Zengcheng 610
Office and the Xiyuan Police Station. She was taken to the Guangzhou
Brainwashing Center. A pre-admittance physical examination showed she had
tumors, so the brainwashing center refused to accept her. At that time, Ms.
Zhang had symptoms of edema. The Zengcheng 610 Office ordered six people to
taken her to the Zengcheng Detention Center. In the beginning of September 2008, Ms. Zhang was taken to the Guangzhou
Armed Police Hospital. Last week, her family received a notice saying that the
Zengcheng Court was going to sentence her on November 24, 2008. Later on, her
family received another notice saying that the Tianhe District Court was going
to sentence her. 16. [Guangdong Province] Ms. Xu Jiamei Sentenced to Six Years of
Imprisonment 72-year-old Ms. Xu Jiamei came from Wuhan City, Hubei Province. At the end of
April 2008, while she was resting home in Shenzhen City, the local police barged
in and arrested her. The police had always deceived her family, saying she would
not be sentenced because of her age. However, on October 29, 2008, the police
called her family and said Ms. Xu had been sentenced to six years' imprisonment.
In November, her family went to visit her, but they were told Ms. Xu had been
transferred to Guangzhou. The details of her current location are unknown.
