Additional Persecution News from China - December 3, 2008 (32 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that
took place in 14 cities or counties in eight provinces. Twenty-five Falun Gong
practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at
least 48 practitioners were arrested. 1. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gao Hui Injected with Unknown Medicine in
Dehui City Detention Center Personnel from the Guangming Police Station arrested Ms. Gao Hui, beat her
and ransacked her home on March 6, 2008. She has been held in the Dehui City
Detention Center for more than eight months. Dehui City Court agents have held
two trials for Ms. Gao. Ms. Gao was extremely weak during the second trial due
to the effects of persecution and fainted in court, so the trial was canceled.
Police returned Ms. Gao to the detention center and injected her with unknown

86-431-87212897 (Home), 86-13844924900 (Cell) 2. [Chongqing] Two Practitioners from Qijiang County Arrested Ms. Xiao and Ms. Zhou, in their 50s, are retirees. Personnel from the
Sanjiang Town Police Station and from the Qijiang County Domestic Security
Division arrested them, sentenced one to forced labor and took the other one to
the county detention center. 3. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Zhongqin Arrested Mr. Li Zhongqin, 46, is from Bajiaomiao Village, Simeng Town, Meishan City.
Police arrested him, ransacked his store and confiscated a TV, a motorcycle, a
Fax machine, a copier and a laptop computer on May 23, 2008. Jinyan Court
officials sentenced him to five years in prison. He is held in the Jingyan
County Detention Center. Mr. Li was reportedly sentenced to five years in
prison. Jingyan County Police Department Domestic Security Division: 86-833-3720146 4. [Tianjin] Mr. Yang Qingsheng and a Couple Arrested Personnel from the Xiqing District Dasi Police Station arrested Mr. Yang
Qingsheng from Nankai District, Tianjin on the afternoon of November 30, 2008.
Mr. Yang was first taken to the Sports Center Police Station in Nankai District
and then transferred to the district detention center. Mr. Lu and his wife were later arrested because Mr. Yang's cell phone lists
their phone numbers. 5. [Tianjin] Mr. Wang Zhongjun and His Wife Arrested Personnel from the Chengguanbei Police Station in Ji County arrested Mr. Wang
Zhongjun and his wife Ms. Zhou Guixiang from Zhenggezhuang Village, Ji County,
Tianjin. They were taken to a detention center. 6. [Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Xiuzhen Arrested Ms. Sun Xiuzhen was arrested on the night of November 30, 2008 for
distributing Falun Gong flyers. She is held in the Rongcheng City Detention
Center. 7. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Ling Arrested on October 20, 2008 8. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yuhuan Arrested and Taken to
Huancui District Detention Center on November 30, 2008 9. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Mi Hong Sentenced to Five Years in
Prison; She Has Appealed 10. [Yutian County, Hebei Province] Repeat Trial for Ms. Dou Suqin on the
Afternoon of December 3, 2008 11. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested Officer Han Jian (86-419-3305110) from the Wayaozi Police Station in Liaoyang
City colluded with Baita Police Station chief Yu Hongchang (86-419-2127410).
They broke into Mr. Guo's home and beat him on November 5, 2008. Later they
arrested eight practitioners including Ms. Lu Feng, Ms. Bi Mingqin and Mr. Meng
Lirong and took them to the city detention center. All family visits have been
denied. Liaoyang City Detention Center: 86-419-3149112 12. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Fengying Taken to Funing County Detention
Center Three plainclothes policemen arrested Ms. Zhang Fengying at her home at 2:00
p.m. on November 30, 2008. She is held in the Funing County Detention Center. Ms. Zhang had lived in exile prior to the arrest, and her family had often
been harassed. 13. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Luo Zhijian Will Be on Trial on the
Morning of December 9, 2008 14. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Peixun from Jinshantun
District Arrested 15. [Bangpu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Yang Zhengmei Taken to Hebei Province
Detention Center on December 1, 2008 16. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested Ms. Meng Lirong, Ms. Bi Mingxia and Ms. Lu Feng from Liaoyang City and
another three practitioners from Anshan City were arrested on November 5, 2008.
A Falun Gong truth-clarification material production center was
destroyed. Cheng Mojun, Qingyang Area 610 Office head: 86-419-3180728 17. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Qun, a High School Student, Held
in Linyi City Brainwashing Center Ms. Li Qun from Xinli Village, Mamuchi Township, Yinan County, is a twelfth
grade student at the Yinan County No. 1 School. She explained the facts about
Falun Gong to her classmates on November 11, 2008, but Chen Lili, a student from
the No. 9 Class in the same grade, reported her. The teacher in charge of the
grade coerced Ms. Li into writing a guarantee statement and
dismissed her from the school. About 30 practitioners including Ms. Li were arrested on November 9, 2008.
She was taken to the township police station. Her family bailed her out, but
were fined 2,000 yuan. However, Ms. Li was arrested again and taken
to the Linyi City Brainwashing Center three days later. 18. [Tianjin] Several Practitioners Persecuted Ms. Shi Yuping, 62, was held in the Wuqing Detention Center and staged a
hunger strike. Detention center chief Zhao Guoquan grabbed her hair and abused
her. Personnel from the Wuqing Court later sentenced Ms. Shi to three and a half
years in prison. Ms. Shi was taken to the Tianjin No. 1 Detention Center and
then transferred to the Tianjin Women's Prison. Mr. Zhang Ruishan, 46, is a teacher at the Huanghuadian Town Middle School in
Wuqing District. He was arrested and sentenced to five years in prison in a
Wuqing Court and was held in the Wuqing Detention Center where Zhao Guoquan
trampled his face and beat him. Mr. Zhang was put in shackles and handcuffed
behind his back. He is held in the Gangbei Prison in Tianjin. Ms. Zhao Fei, 46, is an English teacher at the Shigezhuang Primary School.
Wuqing Court officials sentenced her to five and a half years in prison. Ms.
Zhao staged a hunger strike for 19 days and was later bailed out because of her
poor health. However, personnel from the Wuqing Criminal Police Division
arrested her again and attempted to place her in the Tianjin Women's Prison. Her
poor health disqualified her from being admitted. Police then took her to the

(Office), 86-13820398682 (Cell) 19. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Two Couples Arrested Ms. Yang Mingzhen and her husband Mr. Chen Weiguang from Hanting District,
Weifang City were arrested at their home at 11:00 a.m. on November 29, 2008. Mr. and Mrs. Sui were arrested on the night of December 2, 2008. 20. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Shufen Held in Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp Ms. Zhang Shufen was arrested in June 2008 and later sentenced to forced
labor. She is being held in the No.1 Division of the Beijing Women's Forced
Labor Camp. 21. [Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Lihua Arrested Ms. Yang Lihua, in her 60s, is from Jinjiaogang Village, Lidao Town,
Rongcheng City, Shandong Province. She was reported to police on December 1,
2008 for distributing Falun Gong flyers in Guanshen Village. Police arrested her
and stated they would hold her for 15 days. Ms. Yang's family found out the next
day that she had been arrested and fined 600 yuan. 22. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yan Shoulin, Ms. Yang Chunmei and
Mr. Yang Bin Arrested on December 2, 2008 23. [Hebei Province] Luan County Court Official to Put Mr. Han Zhonghua and
Ms. Meng on Trial at 9:00 a.m. on December 4, 2008 24. [Tai'an County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Guo Yongxue and Mr. Wang Yingjie
Held in Tai'an County Detention Center 25. [Luotian County, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Ping Persecuted Ms. Li Ping, 44, is an employee of the Luotian County Hygiene Department in
Hubei Province. She has been persecuted many times and was arrested and taken to
the Hankou Women's Prison in Baofeng Street, Wuhan City on July 2, 2008. Her
family went to visit her many times, but the police denied their requests.
Reportedly, Ms. Li has suffered from hypertension and heart disease since
November 2008. 26. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Yuquan Harassed Officers headed by Wang Qiang from the Liucheng Town Police Station in
Chaoyang County broke into Mr. Ma Yuquan's home and ransacked the place on
December 2, 2008 in the family's absence. The police confiscated certain items,
including a computer. 27. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Shao Chengluo Is Extremely Weak in
Shandong Province Prison Mr. Shao Chengluo from Qingdao City was arrested in May 2006. Police tortured
him and sentenced him to seven years in prison. He is held in the Shandong
Province Prison and is extremely weak, can barely walk, has chest injuries and

p.m. on December 1, 2008. Mr. Bao Yongsheng and Mr. Wang Jun from the same

Detention Center for Three Months 30. [Bangpu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Yang Zhengmei Arrested on the Morning
of December 1, 2008 for Distributing Falun Gong Flyers 31. [Ning'an City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Sentenced Several practitioners who had been held in the Ning'an City Detention Center
for seven months were sentenced to prison at 8:00 a.m. on December 2, 2008. Ms.
Zhou Xiuhui, 50, was sentenced to seven years in prison; Ms. Ding Shuhua, 62, to
six years; Ms. Sun Xia, 50, to five and a half years; and Ms. Li Yanbo, 50, to
five years. Ge Yupu, Ning'an City Court chief: 86-453-7629019 32. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Chunling Persecuted Personnel from the Beishi District Police Department and from the Domestic
Security Division arrived to arrest Ms. Dong Chunling on the afternoon of
December 2, 2008. Ms. Dong escaped. The police ransacked her home and
confiscated some Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. December 2, 2008
