Putting Up Banners

(Clearwisdom.net) Hello, Honorable Teacher! Hello, fellow practitioners! I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my experiences of
clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings through putting up
banners over the past few years. I would like to tell you how I have improved my
xinxing and raised my cultivation level by doing these things
well. The Banners in Tiananmen Square I still remember, after July 20, 1999, many Dafa practitioners from China and
other countries went to Tiananmen Square to defend the Fa by
publicly displaying Dafa banners. This created an immense impact that even
shocked the heavens. I was deeply impressed by these scenes. As Dafa practitioners who went through those days when our Fa validation was
not yet mature, we all shared the feeling that putting up banners, as a way of
truth clarification, was quite a spectacular thing to do. Practitioners took
pains to do this project well in all kinds of conditions and in different ways,
which utterly suppressed the evil. At that time, I realized that I was fortunate to incarnate as a Dafa
practitioner in this life. I am physically strong and agile, and I realized that
I should do what I should in Fa validation, truth clarification and saving
sentient beings. In particular, I should do even better in truth clarification
by putting up banners. With this understanding, I have done this project as a
supplement to the distribution of truth-clarification materials, and it also
compensates for the shortage of truth-clarification materials. Banners in My Hometown In late November 2001, the evil was still very rampant in China. Because the
evil in my home city was also rampant, I asked some fellow practitioners from
other cities to support and cooperate with local fellow practitioners to do
something to suppress the evil. Overnight, Dafa truth-clarification materials
were found everywhere and the golden banners bearing Dafa truths waved across
the city. It was so spectacular that the evil retreated quite a lot and their
rampancy was largely suppressed. Two experiences had a great impact on me: The first happened before the Moon
Festival of 2003. I put up a banner that read "Falun Dafa Is Good" in
an eye-catching place at the playground of my daughter's school. Early the next
morning, as part of their daily routine, the school congregated for the Chinese
Communist Party's (CCP) flag raising ceremony. At that time, more than 2,000
students and staff from the school focused their attention on my banner. They
talked and discussed about Falun Gong enthusiastically and the ceremony abruptly
ended. The headmaster of the school reported the case to the police. Then,
police and 610 Office agents came and were busy taking photos and
doing investigations the whole morning. In the end, they used a crane to remove
the banner. At lunchtime, my daughter came home and told what had happened. I
was so happy that a truth-clarification banner could frighten the evil so much
and make so many sentient beings understand the truth about Dafa. It is really a
wonderful thing. The second event occurred in a similar way when I put up another banner that
read "Falun Dafa Is Good" on a busy street of my city. The banner
caught many people's attention and generated much discussion among observers. I
was also among the crowd to see people's reactions. Most people treated the
banner positively, but many people were so misled by the CCP that they
complained. One person said: "How come Falun Gong still exists?" That
is to say, they seemed to be upset that Falun Gong had not been completely wiped
out by the CCP. I was very sad to hear that and genuinely understood that we
were taking on the serious responsibility of informing people of the truth about
Dafa. From these incidents, I realized that I still had much work to do. I should
clarify the truth about Dafa to more people and in more detail: Falun Gong has
not been wiped by the CCP. On the contrary, Falun Gong has continued to spread
all around the world and is gaining in popularity. Cooperating with Fellow Practitioners I understand that the power of a single person is limited, no matter how much
one does or how hard one works. Teacher requires that all Dafa practitioners
step out to validate the Fa, do the three things well and improve
and ascend to higher levels as a whole body. Instead of considering individual
consummation only, we should motivate fellow practitioners to step out to
validate the Fa. As required by Teacher, all fellow practitioners in China
should step out to clarify the truth about Dafa and understand the
imperativeness and importance of saving sentient beings. I also came to
understand that 30 banners put up by a single Dafa practitioner in a night would
be less effective than 30 banners put up by 10 practitioners, each posting
three. It is not only easier to do, but also improves every practitioner's
cultivation level and broadens their compassion. In the process, every
practitioner's understanding about saving sentient beings would improve and they
would ascend to higher levels in their cultivation, and their perception could
be completely changed. With this understanding, I motivated more practitioners who were capable,
especially those who had newly stepped out for truth clarification, to take part
in our projects. I replaced my previous individual actions with cooperation
among fellow practitioners in truth clarification. Together we distributed Dafa
truth-clarification materials, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist
Party and video CDs and put up posters and banners. We used many
different methods to save sentient beings during all seasons and in all places,
including cities and villages. We set up a schedule for truth clarification in
different locations, including going together to the remote Shayang Prison to
send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity to the evil. When we were on
our way for truth clarification, we did not leave out the small cities or
villages that we passed by. In recent years we have done better and better, yet
we feel we still have much to do and have the sense that more responsibilities
have been placed upon us. Banners on Helium Balloons A long time ago, I had a idea. It would be perfect if we could put a banner
saying "Falun Dafa Is Good" or some other words, that would float in
the sky within the view of people; that way more people could see it and the
evil would have a hard time trying to remove it. To my happiness, such an idea
was implemented with Teacher's help. During the whole remarkable process, many
problems that appeared to be hard to solve were solved successfully, through
which I genuinely saw the miracle of Dafa. Now, we are already quite experienced in making the floating banners. Without
leaving our home we can deliver the truth about Dafa to sentient beings and
suppress the evil greatly. We even can control the height and floating distances
of the helium balloons with truth-clarification banners according to weather
conditions, wind direction, air flow and air pressure. Following Teacher's
teaching, "The focus for you right now is simply to find ways to do better,
to be more efficient, to have a greater impact, and to save more people."
("Fa Teaching at the U.S. Capital"), we do well the three things.
During the so-called sensitive dates, we did even better and made
even more banners. For instance, fellow practitioners did very well during the
CCP's National Congresses and Olympic Games and delivered the truth about Dafa
to many sentient beings. Teacher affirms all that we do in validating the Fa and saving sentient
beings with a pure heart, including clarifying the truth with banners. Some
practitioners have seen with their third eyes that the banners we put up were
floating in the sky or shining with a golden color in other dimensions. Many
divine beings admire Dafa practitioners when they do the three things well. In
the dimension of human beings, the banners can arouse people's righteous
thoughts and, at the same time, suppress the evil and help stop the persecution. Diligent Group Fa Study The process of doing well the three things is our cultivation path in the Fa-rectification
period. We should do well all the three things required by Teacher. While doing
truth clarification well and saving sentient beings, we must take Fa study and
sending forth righteous thought seriously, because all that we have has its
origin from Dafa, including the construct of our life and all that we will have
in the future. We should not forget Teacher's teachings in all Fa lectures, we
must study the Fa well and as much as possible, because it is the ultimate
guarantee that we will walk the righteous path in our cultivation. Based on that
understanding, we study the Fa diligently. We have group study three times a
week and we have done so smoothly for many years. When we have problems, we
discuss them to find a solution, and there is no unsolvable problem if we
measure everything against the Fa. Now I have a profound feeling that fellow practitioners are doing well the
three things diligently and have matured after many tribulations. Evolving from
doing something spectacular to doing well the three things stable with a clear
mentality, we have gone through a long and hard process. Knowing this, we will
be able to do even better in the future. We will cherish our precious
predestined relationship to Dafa and smoothly walk the final path in front of us
by validating the Fa better and better in the human world. Teacher says that every Dafa practitioner is endowed with special talents. If
every practitioner can employ their talents in a certain task, then the
cooperative force would be tremendous and more sentient beings would be saved.
Take making banners as an example, some practitioners can sew, some can write
messages, some can procure helium, some have good methods to put up banners and
some are good at decoration and art effects. If all practitioners use their
specialty and cooperate well we can finally produce our great Fa
instrument---the truth-clarification banners to suppress and destroy the evil
and save sentient beings. If we fail to do the three things well during this critical period we might
lead a more leisurely and comfortable life but we will be regretful for our
failure to cultivate diligently. However, we may feel that our life is more
concrete and meaningful if we constantly motivate ourselves to assimilate to
Dafa by doing the three things well and being disciplined to cooperate as a
whole body or save sentient beings as individuals. This is actually a
fundamental understanding of the ultimate importance about cultivation. Fellow practitioners, let's implement our prehistorical promises in our
unique personal environment and save even more sentient beings at the finale
stage of Fa-rectification. Thank you Teacher! Thank you my fellow practitioners.
