Additional Persecution News from China - December 2, 2008 (14 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 5 provinces. In this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested. 1. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Cheng Arrested
On the evening of November 28, 2008, Mr. Wang Cheng, who lives in the family housing of the Zhucheng Textile Factory, was arrested by the police waiting outside of his home. His home was also searched. Now his whereabouts are unknown.
2. [Tianjin City] Mr. Zhang Linsen Arrested
On the morning of November 27, 2008, 78-year-old Mr. Zhang Linsen from the Tanggu District in Tianjin City was reported while he was out explaining the truth about Falun Dafa. Officers from the Xiangyang Police Station in the Tanggu District took him away. Afterwards, five or six policemen searched his home and took Dafa books, a computer, and other property.

3. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Lanfang Arrested
On the morning of December 1, 2008, Ms. Wang Lanfang was arrested by plainclothes police who barged into her home. Now her whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Chen Miaocheng Arrested
On November 21, 2008, Ms. Chen Miaocheng was arrested. Her home was searched. Now she is in the Fuzhou First Detention Center.
5. [Shanghai City] On November 29, 2008, Ms. He Meiyun and Her Aunt, Ms. He Pinqin, Were Arrested When They Went Out to Expose the Truth of the Persecution. They Only Recently Returned.
6. [Tianjin City] Ms. Wei Hui Arrested
Ms. Wei Hui, 37 years old, lives in Niudaokou Township, Baodi District, Tianjin City. At 11 p.m. on November 28, 2008, she was arrested by Yuhua Street Police Station officers while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials on the Shi Bridge. She is being detained in the Baodi Detention Center.

On November 28, 2008, Mr. Yan Chengshan, Ms. Zhang Yaqing, Ms. Zhao Xueyan, and Ms. Zhang Cuiqing went to the Xian District Court in Mudanjiang City to attend the trial of a Falun Gong practitioner. They were arrested outside of the court. On November 30, 2008, Ms. Zhao Xueyan and Ms. Zhang Cuiqing were taken to the Hengshan Police Department for interrogation. The police searched their homes and took a computer, a printer, and other property from the home of Ms. Zhao Xueyan.

10. [Anxin County, Hebei Province] The Land Bureau Keeps Mr. Liu Kexin From His Job
At 8:30 a.m. on September 23, 2008, Mr. Liu Kexin, who was released from the Baoding Brainwashing Center, went to the Anxin County Land Bureau for his new job. Director Zhao Fengjun ordered him to write a guarantee statement saying he would not practice Falun Gong. Zhao said that he could not work if he did not write the statement. Mr. Liu Kexin has been unable to go to work since then.

Ms. Cao Jinhua from Menggezhuang Village, Shidui Town, and Ms. Liu Dianwen of Lianyi High School were arrested. Both of them are about 60 years old.
12. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Li Arrested
On the afternoon of November 29, 2008, Ms. Zhang Li, Ms. Cao, and another Ms. Zhang from Mudanjiang City were reported when they clarified the truth. Xinhua Police Station officers took them away. Ms. Cao was released after her family paid 5,000 yuan in extortion money, and Ms. Zhang was released after her family paid 200 yuan. The police took away informational CDs and Dafa books from the home of Ms. Zhang Li. Now Ms. Zhang Li is being detained in the Mudanjiang Second Detention Center.
13. [Rongcheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Qiuxiang Arrested
Ms. Li Qiuxiang lives in Guxian Village, Rongcheng County. On the morning of November 27, 2008, she was arrested by Liangmatai Township Police Station officers when she was distributing information materials about the persecution at the Baigou Market. She is being detained in the Rongcheng County Detention Center.

14. [Anxin County, Hebei Province] Mr. Han Weixin on the Verge of Death
Mr. Han Weixin has been detained in the Hebei Province Fourth Prison after he was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment because he interrupted TV programming. Due to the brutal torture, he is on the verge of death. The prison officials had him sent to a hospital in Shijiazhuang City for emergency treatment. He is now blind in one eye. He is bony and has been bedridden for a long time. He cannot take care of himself.
