Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in 11 cities or counties in six provinces. Ten Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 11 practitioners were arrested.

1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cao Junping's Term Extended
Ms. Cao Junping was sentenced to three months of detention on July 29, 2008. She is in the Qingzhou City Detention Center. Officials from the Shandong Province Advanced Procuratorate extended her term by two months in early December 2008. Her family visits have been denied.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Qingsen Arrested
Mr. Zhang Qingsen, a teacher at the Harbin Institute of Technology, was arrested on the morning of December 9, 2008. The arrest happened when he renewed his citizen's ID card at the Huayuan Street Police Station in the Nangang District, Harbin City.

3. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] The Police Arrest Mr. Xiong Jiwei
Personnel from the Dongmafang Town 610 Office colluded with officers from the town police station in Yingcheng City. They arrested Mr. Xiong Jiwei from his workplace in the Shuanghuan Factory Hospital at 10:00 a.m. on December 3, 2008. Mr. Xiong is being held in the city's No.1 Detention Center.

4. [Wuzhong City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Mr. Ma Xunde Held in the 610 Office Brainwashing Center
Mr. Ma Xunde from Wuzhong City was sentenced to three years in prison in 2005. When his term ended, the police from the city's 610 Office transferred him from the prison to the Ningxia Autonomous Region 610 Office Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Sun Shuying, who was arrested on November 21, 2008, was sentenced to forced labor on December 4, 2008. She is in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.

8. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Mo Jianzhen was taken to the Anqiu City 610 Brainwashing Center. Ms. Zhang Zhenfang from Yuanzhuang Village, Danshan Town, was admitted to the city detention center. Sixty-year-old Ms. Liu Jianwen was arrested from her home, but her whereabouts are unknown.
9. [Chongqing] Several Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Chongqing City Domestic Security Division, from the Shapingba District Domestic Security Division, and from the Tongjiaqiao Police Station arrested practitioners Mr. Zhang Jingzhi and Xie from the Shiqiaopu District, Ms. Qiu Cuixiang from the Xinqiao District, Qiu from Fengdu County, and Ms. Wen Tingyu from the Shapingba District. The practitioners' families went to the Tongjiaqiao Police Station and requested their unconditional release on December 2, 2008. Ms. Qiu was released that day, but officers still monitor and follow her around the clock.

10. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Persecuted
A young married couple has only lived together for less than a month due to persecution.
Six practitioners were sentenced last year. Two of them were sentenced to seven years in prison. A few were sentenced to three years in prison for posting Falun Gong messages.
A woman practitioner was arrested several days ago for putting up Falun Gong posters.
Personnel from the Laoxialu Police Station arrested Mr. Liu Yunchao from Wuhan City on September 21, 2008, when he distributed Falun Gong flyers. A non-practitioner driver surnamed Ma was arrested with him. Officials from the Xialu District People's Procuratorate issued two arrest warrants for them on October 28, 2008.

11. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Huiting Arrested
Four plainclothes policemen arrested Ms. Li Huiting on the afternoon of December 8, 2008. Her whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Eight officers from the Anqiu City Police Department arrested Ms. Zhao Songmei from her home in Hanjiabu on the afternoon of November 28, 2008. They confiscated an MP3 player and several gallons of paint.
The police then went to Ms. Liu Shuqin's home and ransacked the place in the family's absence. They confiscated a picture of Master and a bag of red pepper.
The police arrested Ms. Li Fuzhen and 40-year-old Ms. Wang Guiqin, both employees from the Light Industrial Factory.
