Ms. Hu Huoying from Jiangxi Province Illegally Sentenced and Almost Blinded During Her Detention

(Clearwisdom.net) In March 2008, Duchang County Jiangxi Province National Security Team Leader Zhang Shixin, police officers Zhan Meimao and Fang Changgen, and others arrested Ms. Hu Huoying. Before the Beijing Olympic Games, the Duchang County Court sentenced Ms. Hu to four years of imprisonment. She is now detained in the third division of Nanchang City Women's Prison in Jiangxi Province.

Since 1999, Ms. Hu Huoying has been arrested, fined and detained many times. Her husband passed away as a result of the persecution. However, she still persists in her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. In early 2008, she was in good health and did not need glasses while reading. After being persecuted at Nanchang City Women's Prison for six months, 50-year-old Ms. Hu is very weak and in low spirits. She is nearly blind. The prison doctor found that her vision was severely impaired in both eyes. Nonetheless, the guards still force her to do heavy labor. Ms. Hu's daughter is a college junior in Nanchang City and has no money to pay for her living expenses.
