The Wisdom of My Cousin

(Clearwisdom.net) I went back to my hometown in 2006 and visited my uncle's eldest daughter. She is one year older than I, kind, truthful and honest, and she conducts her actions based on reason. I explained the truth of Falun Gong and persuaded her to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). When I talked about the CCP's campaign of disinformation to justify its persecution and that it was creating lies, even to the extent of staging a self-immolation, my cousin said, "I know the CCP's propaganda is fake, spreading rumors and attacking Falun Gong." She said that there were three reasons for her making this observation.

First, Falun Gong came to the public in May of 1992 and received a number of commendations by the government and was warmly welcomed by people of all circles in the seven years from May 1992 to July 1999. In these seven years, not a single self-immolation or murder surfaced. However, "self-immolation and murder" all emerged soon after the CCP banned the practice. There are discrepancies throughout these reports.

Second, people in more than 70 foreign countries are practicing Falun Gong, why is there not self-immolation, suicide or murder [among practitioners] in these countries? She said, "I would have known it if such a thing had happened, because CCTV (China Central Television) would have played it over and over again every day."

Third, a sister and brother in my neighborhood are practicing Falun Gong. They both are college graduates with a high moral standard, and are healthy both physically and mentally. All the Falun Gong practitioners I see, including you and my brother, are truthful, nice, polite and gentle.

Furthermore, those who said that Falun Gong is not good are those who are not aware of Falun Gong, whereas those who genuinely cultivate Falun Gong have never said a bad word about it. In particular, after seven years of severe persecution, they still stick to it. Isn't that worthy of serious consideration?

These three reasons are more than enough to prove that what the CCP has told people are all lies. I then said to my cousin, "My cousin, you are talking based on reason. However, many poor Chinese people don't dare to speak their own ideas as a result of many years of CCP brainwashing, harassment and persecution from all kinds of political movements."
