Facts about the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners at Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The authorities of Xinhua Forced Labor Camp of Sichuan Province are still persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, using torture to attempt to "reform" them. When inmates are "restricted," they must wear a helmet and be handcuffed and shackled.

On July 24, 2007, because practitioner Mr. Qu Zhenxing refused to wear the "laborer ID" that is required for every inmate, guards Luo Dong, Zhang Xiaogang, Zhang Weiting, and Yang brutally beat him for an entire afternoon. His screams were heard in all the cells. Mr. Qu was then "restricted" for 26 days. These guards electrically shocked practitioners with 200 kilowatt and even 500 kilowatt batons.

On November 1, 2007, Mr. Qu Zhenxing, Mr. Wang Renwei, Mr. Zhou Guoping, Mr. Liang Donglin, and other practitioners refused to write so-called "revealing and criticizing statements" and shouted "Falun Dafa is good" in the classroom. Labor camp authorities then extended Mr. Liang Donglin's term for one month and "restricted" him for one week. Mr. Wang Renwei's term was extended for one month, and he was "restricted" for two weeks, and Mr. Zhou Guoping's term was extended for 20 days, and he was "restricted" for one month.

On December 6, 2006, officers from the Domestic Security Team of the Huili County Police Department illegally arrested Mr. Li Tianhua, a practitioner from Huili County, and his brother and put them in Xinhua Forced Labor Camp. The guards forced them to write the three statements and made them stand and squat for a long time with no sleep. In addition, the pair had to do forced labor for 12 hours every day. The guards and criminal inmates also beat them, causing Mr. Li Tianhua to spit-up blood for three months. The torture caused his body to swell, made him dizzy, and caused redness and continual pain in his eyes. He was released in December 2007.
