Mr. Zhou Jingchun from Laishui County, Hebei Province Arrested Again before the Chinese New Year

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of January 30, 2008, the police from Yangyong Town Police Station at the Laishui County, Hebei Province illegally arrested Falun Gong practitioner Zhou Jingchun from Zhoujiazhuang, Yongyang Town, Laishui County.

Mr. Zhou, 61 years old, is from the Zhoujiazhuang, Yongyang Town, Laishui County. It is the third time that he was arrested and persecuted by the Laishui County CCP government.

On September 30, 2004, Mr. Zhou was forcibly arrested by the police from the Laishui County Police Department. Under the Laishui County 610 Office's incitement, the police brutally tortured Mr. Zhou and beat him in turn until he fell to the ground and could not stand up.

Zhou Jingchun's wife, Ms. Xu Shulan, was also arrested by the Laishui County Police Department and was brutally tortured by the police. She suffered severe injuries. The police also interrogated and threatened her. When Xu Shulan's health condition had dangerously deteriorated, the Laishui County Police Station forced her son to pay 1,000 yuan for her release. Later Zhou Jinghcun was illegally sentenced three years of forced labor by the Laishui County Police Department and sent to the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp.

On June 13, 2007, Mr. Zhou went to a fellow practitioner's home to help him build an addition onto his house. Policemen Dai Chunjie and Dong Honghao from the Laishui County Police Department came and arrested the practitioner and seized his home. Mr. Zhou was also arrested and illegally detained at Laishui County Detention Center. He was released after more than a month.

On the same day, Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Guohua from Yongyang Town, Laishui County was also arrested by the Dongwenshan Police Station in Laishui County when he went out in the early morning. He has since been released.

We call on all people of conscience to help the Falun Gong practitioners to be released and reunited with their families as soon as possible.
