(Clearwisdom.net) The Divine Performing Arts Company's 2008 Chinese New Year Splendor at Radio City Music Hall drew many Asians with deep cultural connections to China.

Members of the Overseas Korean Traders Association (OKTA) attended the ninth show on the evening of February 7. They celebrated a unique and delightful Chinese New Year while enjoying the goodness and pure beauty conveyed through exquisite stage art, and they gained new understandings of the essence of Chinese culture.

The World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Association was established in April 1981 and has an expansive member network all over the world. OKTA's initial goal was to promote mutual prosperity between Korean traders in the U.S. and Japan with Korea and its trading partners, as well as to enhance Korea's economic profile. Some New York members learned about the Splendor in the newspaper, and a group of 50 people attended the show.

Mr. Kay Yang Lee, a first-time attendee and owner of a dry cleaning business, had only heartfelt praise for the performance. He has visited Beijing several times and has seen entertainment shows there, but the Divine Performing Arts evoked in him a brand new feeling toward Chinese culture, which touched him deeply. He said, "I've lived in New York for 30 years and this is the first time for me to see a Chinese New Year show here. I can appreciate Chinese culture through the dances and songs, and we enjoyed the program very much."

He commented that the entire Eastern world, including Korea, has connections with ancient Chinese culture, which has exerted deep influence over Korean music and dance, and that explains why many Asians would love this performance.

Peter Kang, of the K & J Shopping Center, said the music, dance, songs, costumes, and backdrops were perfect. He thought the Splendor was a cultural feast and a great way to promote traditional Chinese culture. He believed that the OKTA members who saw the show liked it very much and that more people would attend next year through word of mouth.

Attorney Min Daji said the performance was wonderful and fascinating at the same time, and he enjoyed it very much. Through the Splendor, he saw the long history of China, the kindness and greatness of the Chinese people, and the treasures of Chinese culture. He said that Chinese culture once had a profound impact on Korean culture, and he hopes to see a free and just China that will benefit the world.
