Spreading the Facts about Falun Gong to People in the Countryside

(Clearwisdom.net) Since the winter of 2006, we began to distribute "truth-clarification" materials and tell people the facts about Falun Gong in the countryside. Even some practitioners who were fearful before joined us for this effort, and we became more righteous, and had less and less fear.

In the past we always went to the houses and delivered things in the evening, but we discovered that many people in the countryside work in other regions. Many of those who were home were older people who could not read and others afraid of the Communist Party that did not dare read the materials. Some did read the information but did not realize how precious it is. Very few of them read the materials carefully or pass them on to others. A few practitioners were disappointed and even did not want to continue the effort. Seeing this, I was deeply worried. Out of fear, I did not initially want to deliver materials to people's doors. Once I repeatedly studied Master's new lectures and read practitioners' sharings in the "Minghui Weekly" about clarifying the facts in the countryside, I asked myself, "Why can other practitioners do this, but not us? We should cultivate diligently together." I told another, older practitioner my understanding and asked her to send righteous thoughts when I went to the countryside to deliver materials and explain the facts.

Because I was still afraid, initially I took the materials with me and pretended to be a businessman. Later on, when I saw a few persons gathered in one spot, I would go and speak with them directly. The first day I handed out more than 30 fliers, mainly to people who could understand the facts of Dafa and would treasure the materials. Other practitioners also came to join us after we shared our experiences.

We usually take a big bag of fliers, VCDs and copies of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party." Whether it is a large or small village, we send righteous thoughts before we set out. We have to walk a long way to reach the villages, and sometimes have to go a long time without food.

When someone opens the door we first greet the person. Others might think we are relatives who have come to visit. Before they realize why we are there, we hand them truth-clarification materials and tell them that we are here to bring them good fortune and let them understand what Falun Gong is, why the CCP is persecuting Falun Gong, and encourage them to choose a bright future for themselves. Some of them accept the materials willingly.

I say to them, "I would like to give you an amulet(1) and hope you will treasure it." I also ask if they want to read about the history of the Communist Party. If they say yes, we give them a copy of the Nine Commentaries. Then we would ask them if they are members of the Communist Party. If they agree to make a withdrawal statement, we help them to do it. If they want to decide after they have read the Nine Commentaries, we tell them that they can post their statement of withdrawal in a public place.

Many people have admired us and said, "You people are really brave! In the past you only delivered materials in the evening, but now you come in the daytime. You are doing a great job! Are you not afraid of being arrested? You should be very careful!" They also warned us about where the Communist regime agents usually go.

Some people wanted to offer us financial help. A few people over 70 years old acted as if they had been anxiously waiting for the truth. We taught them to recite "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance," and "Falun Dafa is good." They grasped our hands and said, "You are doing such a good thing!"

Of course, sometimes there are a few people whose minds are deeply poisoned by the Communist Party's lies. They threatened they would report us to the police and berated us, saying, "You are against the Party." Some just left quietly and refused to listen to us. We were not discouraged and continued to clarify the facts. Doing this task in the countryside helps us to rid ourselves of many attachments.

It is indeed as if we are wandering around in society like monks. Actually, I suffer from fear and thought karma. We should believe in Master and know that we are offering people salvation. The countryside people are purer than people in urban areas, yet many of them still have not heard of Falun Gong.

Note:

(1) Amulet -- In China, practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
