(Clearwisdom.net) In a small village in Laishui County, Hebei Province, lives a man named Zheng Yu (a pseudonym). In the past, he was a military hero and an actor in the Bangzi Opera Troupe of Langfang District, Hebei Province. While practicing a back flip, he had a severe accident and became a paraplegic. The injury also caused many other secondary medical problems. After a long course of treatment that did not cure the conditions, he said goodbye to being an actor. His marriage also ended in divorce.

Zheng Yu had suicidal thoughts many times because he was bedridden much of the time. When he went out in public in his wheelchair, he saw healthy, mobile people, and he saw others with their families. He would lament how he once had an artistic job that everyone admired. He could hardly face the fact that he would have to spend his life in a wheelchair. He thought of killing himself by running off a bridge in his wheelchair.

About three years ago, someone gave him Falun Gong truth-clarification brochures and suggested that he quit the Chinese Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers. He agreed, and since then he has often mentally recited, "Falun Dafa is good." Gradually, he started cultivating. He has studied the book Zhuan Falun, practiced the exercises, and sent forth righteous thoughts every day with a strong will. Because he cannot stand up, he can only practice the sitting exercise. He strictly follows Dafa requirements. Miracles happened. Failure of his internal organs, stomachaches, cystitis, headaches, muscular atrophy, and other effects of his severe injury gradually disappeared. Although he cannot stand up or walk yet, he steadfastly believes in Falun Dafa.

Since beginning cultivation, whether it is cold, hot, windy, raining or snowing, Zheng Yu has propelled himself in his wheelchair to marketplaces and throughout the streets to validate the Fa by telling his own story. He clarifies the truth to people and suggests that they quit the CCP organizations. So far, he has helped over 300 people to quit.

He said, "Exposing the CCP, dismantling the CCP, and saving the sentient beings are every practitioner's sacred mission. I strongly believe that I will someday return to the performance stage through Fa study, practicing the exercises, improving my character, and doing the three things well that Teacher asked us to do. I will save more people through the performing arts. I am happy to make friends with anyone who has a predestined relationship. I wish that all friends, especially people with disabilities, would cultivate themselves by studying Falun Dafa. Let's say goodbye to loneliness, to illness, and to the wheelchair! Let's immerse ourselves together in the Buddha's compassion."
