Among the audience was a family in which the mother, Julia, is a Chinese who came to the UK ten years ago, and the father, David, is an English man. The couple are accountants in London. They brought their son and daughter to see the show.
Julia said, "The show was beautiful, I'm very pleased to see it, and to have my children experience Chinese culture. It is rare to see such a show in London. I've never seen anything like this." Their daughter Laura has never been to China. What she liked the most were celestial maidens and the dance depicting water. Their son James who has been to China enjoyed the drums. He thought the "Drummers of the Tang Court" was fantastic. David loves Chinese culture, and he particularly enjoyed the music in the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular. The couple said the Chinese New Year performances in local Chinese community in previous years could not match the performance tonight. They said they only saw lion and dragon dances in Chinatown.

After the show, two families still immersed in the joy of the wonderful performance by the Divine Performing Arts
After the show, a small group of audience members lingered in the hall and were reluctant to leave. They were 8 members of two families from the southern city of Kent. Thomas Wu and his wife are both Chinese from Hong Kong, and with them was their friend, Ms. Zhang. They drove to London with their five children to see the show. After seeing it, they looked delighted. Mr. Wu is the only one of them who can speak Chinese. He thought the performance was beautiful. Mrs. Wu's favorite performance was "Water Sleeve." The boys liked the drum performances, and a girl said shyly that her favorite was the dance that simulated celestial maidens dancing in water. When bidding farewell to the reporter, Mrs. Wu asked earnestly if the Divine Performing Arts will come to the UK next year. She was very pleased upon hearing that this was certain, and she hoped the Divine Performing Arts will become more widely known.
A family from Pakistan enjoyed the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular
There was another unique family that attracted the attention of the reporter. They were from Pakistan. The son brought his parents and his girlfriend to see the show. His girlfriend is a Chinese from Malaysia. The parents both saw a Chinese performance for the first time. The mother seemed very excited, saying that she liked every performance in the show. The drum performance reminded her of the drums in her own country. In front of the reporter's camera, the parents and the son smiled. The son's Chinese girlfriend was too shy to be photographed with them, but could not hide her pride in her Chinese culture.
