Ms. He Derong Died as Result of Torture in Chongqing City
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. He Derong, 56, lived at the
Songzao Coal Mine in Qijiang County, Chongqing City. Her physical condition
changed dramatically after practicing Falun Dafa: all of her illnesses vanished,
and she looked like she was in her 30s. After the persecution began, she was
arrested for the first time in 2002 by police from the Songzao Coal Mine Station
and detained for ten days. March 8, 2004, was a market day in Anwen Town, Qijiang County. Police
arrested four practitioners. Ms. He Derong and others went to clarify the
truth to officer Gong Zekai in the Songzao Police Station Liaison Office
in the Mine Administration building, requesting him to release the four arrested
practitioners. Police videotaped them ,and on April 2, 2004, they decided they
were "attacking the Songzao Coal Mine Administration" and arrested the
three practitioners, including Ms. He Derong, one month later according to the
recording. After being detained in Qijiang County Detention Center for one month, police
sentenced her to one year of forced labor and took her to the Maojiashan's Women
Labor Camp in Chongqing City. Ms. He Derong refused to accept any brainwashing.
Guards tortured her by force-feeding her highly concentrated salt solution and
unknown drugs, causing her body to become severely sick. She was as thin as a
skeleton. Ms. He Derong was released in 2005, but she was continually monitored at
home. Local police forced her husband to watch her to make sure she did not to
study the Fa, do exercises, or contact other practitioners, and
report her situation to the local police often--otherwise their living expenses
would be reduced. Due to being brutally mistreated in the forced labor camp and force-fed
unknown drugs, Ms. He Derong's head became deformed, and one eye was protruding.
She was often in a foggy state of mind, and her face turned dark. Her lungs and
heart both developed diseases, and for a long time she vomited and emitted
blood. She died at 10:37 p.m. on September 11, 2007. February 21, 2008 |
