The Body of Practitioner Mr. Huang Fujun Remains Unburied

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Huang Fujun, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Acheng District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was taken to the First Detention Center of Acheng on July 24, 2007, after being tortured by officers from Acheng Police Station. He had bone fractures as the result of the torture. The police at first refused to allow his family to see him, and when his family was finally allowed to see him on November 2, 2007, he was already on the verge of death. His family sought outside help to obtain his release. The City Public Security, 610 Office, and the detention center argued fiercely among themselves, each refusing to assume responsibility. In order to avoid being held responsible for his death, they reached a "consensus" and allowed Mr. Huang's family to pick him up from the hospital.

When his family first saw him, he had already lost consciousness. He was very thin and disfigured from the torture. Tubes were still stuck in his nose and no one knew how long they had been there. His nostrils were full of dried blood and the wounds on his buttock had festered. Even so, he was still handcuffed and shackled in the bed. Some people heard that after he was taken to the hospital, he nearly died several times.

Mr. Huang Fujan had been a strong man in his early 40s. But within just three months, he was tortured so badly that many people shed tears when they saw him. Seeing his suffering, they also witnessed the evil of the Chinese Communist Party.

On November 4, Mr. Huang was finally taken home. He couldn't utter a word or recognize his family members. His eyes were open and he was taking in deep breaths. At about 8:00 p.m. on November 6, his face suddenly turned green, his mouth and eyes opened, and he passed away. He never had a chance to say a word to his family.

After the 610 Office heard of Mr. Huang's death, they sent someone from his workplace to see him. This person left quickly. Mr. Huang's family went to talk with the head of the 610 Office, Wang Xiaoguang, who promised the family that the burial expenses would be covered by his place of employment and that he would arrange work for the family. Wang also promised that the family's children and elderly would receive low-cost insurance. He said he would consult with Mr Huang's work unit to settle all these things to their satisfaction. Given these preconditions, Mr. Huang's family agreed to let the work unit take the body to a funeral home. Immediately after that, Acheng Police Station and 610 Office officials surrounded their home and put them under surveillance. Mr. Huang's body was under close watch by special agents. Performing a funeral ritual or laying wreaths was not allowed. No one was allowed to get near the body. Thereafter, nothing was heard. His remains weren't cared for. Nobody has been able to talk to the family since, and none of the officials promises were kept.

Given these circumstances, Mr. Huang's family didn't agree to have the body cremated and demanded an autopsy by experts. It was said the agencies in charge of performing autopsies were the provincial "procurators," the 610 Office, and Acheng Police Station. They told the family that the autopsy results would be out in about a month and a half. During this period of time, Mr. Huang's family hired an attorney to file a claim that included a compensation of 200,000 yuan (about $30,000 USD) and punishment for those responsible for Mr. Huang's death.

The autopsy results finally came. They stated that Mr. Huang's death was due to mild head injuries followed by heart failure.

Even more inconceivably, in the face of ample evidence, the 610 Office claimed that Mr. Huang Fujun had committed suicide, so they were not be responsible for his death. Moreover, the captain of the Acheng Police Station issued a statement to the family, shirking all responsibility for Mr. Huang's death.

Mr. Huang's family and their lawyer went to speak with the Security Bureau and the 610 Office. One of the 610 Office personnel said arrogantly, "You should feel pleased that we allow you to see us. Huang Fujuan's death was the result of suicide." They went to the legal system for help, but again to no avail. The chief of the legal system took their lawyer aside and threatened him, saying, "How dare you take this case! You must not want your job. Do you think you can win a lawsuit against the CCP!" The lawyer said that regardless, the death of a human being was at stake. But the case was finally left unsettled.

In the face of such unfair treatment, Mr. Huang's family filed a lawsuit against the police station, the detention center, and the 610 Office.

It's been three months since Mr. Huang was persecuted to death. His family has nowhere to seek justice and Mr. Huang's body still remains unburied.
