Let Go of the Attachment to Self

(Clearwisdom.net) Since the persecution began almost nine years ago, I have learned how to use the internet, established my family-based materials center, made fliers, distributed fliers, written articles, made CDs and spread the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I have progressed from not knowing how to do it, to knowing how to do it well. I have been doing everything smoothly.

When I became familiar with doing all these things, I developed a new attachment. Every day I was in a routine and was used to doing the things as arranged. Once something unexpected happened and was not going according to my plan, I would feel uncomfortable. I was not interested in what my fellow practitioners suggested and was not willing to take part in their projects and didn't want to cooperate. I felt that their plan interfered with mine. I was very attached to my own abilities thinking I was best fit to do what I had arranged for myself and didn't want to change. I was satisfied with what I wanted to do and isolated myself.

But the starting-point of my thought was selfish and for myself. Though I was doing things to save sentient beings, fundamentally it was for myself and was selfish. My purpose was to elevate myself, to achieve consummation by doing the three things. If I had such thoughts, how could I possibly save sentient beings? A lot of practitioners around me have similar thoughts to mine. This is also a major reason that practitioners only mind their own business and are unable to form one body.

At the moment the evil is nearly at its end in the Fa-rectification and worldly people are awakening. The persecution is more and more difficult to sustain. This is a good opportunity for us to double our efforts to extensively save sentient beings. We should grasp every minute, every opportunity and use various forms to clarify the truth and save sentient beings. If we want to do things well, we must jump out of the selfish mentality and not limit ourselves to our own personal abilities or familiar ways. We should open our minds, cooperate with our fellow practitioners, form one body and demonstrate the power of our whole body of Dafa practitioners.
