Chinese New Year Splendor Receives Overwhelmingly Positive Reviews (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) With the Chinese New Year just around the corner, nearly 10,000 people were drawn to the Radio City Music Hall on February 2 to experience a unique celebration, the Chinese New Year Splendor presented by the Divine Performing Arts. Audience members were amazed by the marvelous high-tech backdrop designs, the elegance of the female dancers, and the vigor of the male dancers. They were also deeply impressed by the profound Chinese culture depicted by the show, and many said that they gained new understandings of China after the show.

Three Chinese seniors came together to see the show in the afternoon. Two were sisters and the other was a relative. The sisters chose to celebrate the 2008 Chinese New Year by watching the show in New York City. During the intermission, the older sister said, "I came from South America for this show. The programs are great. I can't tell which was better, as every piece was very good and I loved them all. This is my first time seeing such a great show and I am very happy."

Her younger sister is a New York resident who said, "This is my fourth year seeing this show. I loved all of them and thus I always come back for the Diving Performing Arts. This year, I invited my sister to the show. We are so happy to be here." Their relative was apparently also very pleased, as she repeatedly said, "The show is very good, very good!"

Ms. Kuang and her husband came from New Jersey. She repeatedly said, "It was so good! Every piece was excellent."

Victor Maldonada and his Columbian wife came to the evening show, and he said, "The show was well-planed. From the elegant dances to the moving songs, every piece was very good and very beautiful... This is our first time and we will come back." His wife was also very happy and said that she liked all the programs.

A schoolteacher, Ms. Carew, said that the drummers were great and the singers were very nice. She said, "This is my first time seeing this show and I liked all the programs."

Student Elizabeth said, "The programs were really a surprise to me. I liked the magnificent backdrops and the dazzling costumes. The show makes me feel very comfortable."
