Falun Gong Practitioners in Huoshan County, Anhui Province Live under Severe Persecution; Some Have Lost Their Lives

(Clearwisdom.net) There are very few Falun Gong practitioners in Liu'an City, Huoshan County, Anhui Province. Most of them are teachers. These few practitioners are very virtuous and talented. but they suffer severe persecution because they practice Falun Gong.

Mei Jianzhu was a retired teacher who was arrested as a result of clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. Four years ago she died as a result of persecution at the Liu'an City Detention Center.

A young teacher, Zhang Xianqiong, was persecuted three years ago. As a result, he developed a critical illness and died in his home.

Another teacher, Dong Jian, who taught at an advanced level, was arrested in November 2007. She is currently incarcerated in a detention center. Dong Jian had become homeless to avoid persecution. She suffered much emotional and physical pain. Recently, Dong Jian developed symptoms of kidney failure. Even though she is in critical condition and close to death, the police still refuse to leave her alone.
