Denying the Old Forces with Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) I realized during the past eight years of cultivation and Fa-rectification that if we maintain strong righteous thoughts, we can deny the old forces' arrangements and smoothly accomplish the three things, especially in clarifying the truth and saving people. Master said,

"Everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A")

If we do not have strong righteous thoughts, and if we follow human notions, then human notions will take over, and we will fall into the old forces' trap and travel along their arranged path.

I would like to share two examples with fellow practitioners.

In May 2006, people from the city 610 Office came to our district looking for Falun Gong practitioners. They set up a close monitoring system to track practitioner activities. My husband, who worked for the government, heard from a colleague that these agents would deploy a monitoring system at the school where I worked. My husband worried about my safety and said, "Perhaps they have noticed you. Perhaps they have found out about your Internet surfing, or a student may have told the police about your truth clarification efforts, or they may have discovered that you wrote Fa truth-clarifying messages on paper money." He could not stop imagining horrible things. I was very calm and told him, "It is impossible." I told him to quit worrying. My husband said, "You always think of the best possibilities." "Yes, I have to be an optimist," I replied.

I though this might be either a hint from Master or the old forces were trying to scare me. The person who warned my husband was his friend, and I had previously told his wife some facts about Dafa. I was not sure. I was sure about one thing, however: No one can stop me from fulfilling the three things. So I continued my efforts. I revealed the evil Party's nature when I taught, encouraged people to quit the Party, and wrote truth-clarifying messages on paper money. I did not let this affect my efforts to do the three things.

The old forces did not give up and continued to create illusions. After my daughter completed her college examination, I went to the school to pick her up. In the morning, just as I was leavin the school, a police car arrived. The police chief, a deputy Party secretary, and another police officer got out of the car. I suddenly thought they might have come to get me. I realized immediately that my thought was wrong, and I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts and overcame my fear. It turned out they had not come for me. I saw a dozen police cars on my way to the county and I sent forth righteous thoughts each time. I had never encountered so many police cars. I told myself to have no fear.

Nothing happened that day. Later I thought that if I had not remained righteous and had been convinced the evildoers had come for me, I might have hidden the books and materials away and completely stopped my truth clarification efforts. Then the police would have indeed come after me.

Another incident occurred in May 2007. The Party secretary at my school said in a staff meeting that, per orders from an upper-level agency, our school would embark on a campaign to "worship science and oppose the evil cult." I knew this was a signal to attack Falun Gong. I decided to immediately send forth righteous thoughts. Interesting enough, the usually eloquent secretary could barely finish reading his speech. His plans had included hanging banners and posters. He also called for a broadcasting and essay writing campaign. I thought, "Your words will not count."

Ever since, each time I send forth righteous thoughts I include the following: "Eliminate all the evil factors that control the local education system and poison the minds of teachers and students." Nothing regarding the Party secretary's plan happened until the summer break. Toward the end, school officials ordered a teacher and a student to each write a paper. I saw the student's paper. Since the student was in my class and knew the true facts, he did not mention anything about Falun Gong. I also clarified the truth to the teacher as she copied articles in the office.

My strong righteous thoughts were able to minimize the damage. But I still felt sorry that I hadn't completely dissolved all the arrangements the old evil forces made.
