Vienna Ballerina: Chinese Spectacular Combines Traditional Values and Contemporary Themes (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gerit Schwenk is a ballerina at the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Staatsoper, a premier ballet company in Austria. Ms. Schwenk said, "What I'm most impressed with is the precision. I must admit that I have rarely seen anything like this. The coordination of the lines were always correct and the movements were identical. I admired that tremendously, because I know how much work it took to get to that point."

Ms. Schwenk praised how the show merged traditional themes and contemporary issues in China. "The outstanding part is how the show presented traditional values and contemporary themes, as the current situation in China isn't very transparent. The mix of dance techniques is different from what I have seen and studied, but I think it's very beautiful!"
