Solemn Declaration

I was illegally arrested by the police in Beijing on July 12, 2005 and was imprisoned in the Beijing Reeducation Through Labor Personnel Camp for one and a half months. I experienced inhuman suffering: They did not allow me to sleep or use the restroom. Every day, I was beaten by eight police officers and their in-house informants many times. I also suffered cruel torture. Some of my teeth were knocked out and others became loose. A toothbrush was weaved in between my fingers and my hand was forced into a fist, causing my fingers to be injured and fester. I was force-fed human excrement many times. There were bruises on my whole body. However, I always firmly believed in Master and the Fa and did not fear the cruel persecution. After being transferred to the forced labor camp, I still persisted in shouting "Falun Dafa is good." I was tortured cruelly by police and their watchdogs. For the two and a half years that I was in the camp, I always persisted in my belief and often told people, "Falun Dafa is good." In addition, I persisted in appealing for my innocence and for my release many times. Although my appeal was rejected by the forced labor camp, I told all the people I met: "Falun Dafa is good," and told them that there was nothing wrong with my persisting in cultivating Falun Dafa. However, after I was imprisoned for close to two and a half years, the police in the forced labor camp threatened me, saying that they would not release me if I did not write the repentance statement. Unfortunately, I did not truly treat this as a practitioner should. I justified it as a way for me to get out to save people, so I wrote it. After I finished writing the statement, I had a very bad headache that was hard to endure. I knew I was in the wrong. I knew that because I wrote the "repentance" material, it caused a very big loss to Dafa and also made a stain on my cultivation path. Upon realizing this, I wrote a statement saying that I would continuously and firmly cultivate Dafa, and declared that the "repentance" material was void. I handed this statement to the police in the forced labor camp. Today I declare that any words and deeds that go against Dafa principles and Master, the "repentance" material I wrote, are null and void. I will take action from now on to make up for the loss I caused to Dafa, follow closely Master's Fa-rectification process, do the three things well and firmly cultivate Dafa to the end.
