Taiwan: They Looked Like Celestial Maidens Descending (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) On March 8, 2008, the last show of the Divine
Performing Arts (DPA) of New York concluded in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, to the
audience's enthusiastic applause. Many in the audience commented to the
reporters that they wanted to see the show again. Ms. Lin Liyu, Vice President
of Taiwan's Galvanized Technology Company, saw the show last year and was deeply
moved. This year, she invited many of her friends in the business world to join
her. She was inspired by the content of the show and believed that the
performance could purify ones heart. Ms. Lin Liyu (left) from the Taiwan Galvanized Technology
Company and her friend, Ms. Zou (right), enjoyed the show. Ms. Lin Liyu said,
"I wanted to cry when I heard their songs. I have different feelings every
time." Ms. Lin said, "Last year, a friend introduced the show to me. I was so
moved. It seemed that celestial maidens were descending. The performance can
purify a person's heart. I felt these celestial maidens were trying so hard to
pull these sentient beings back to their origins. I was deeply touched. I wanted
to cry when I heard their songs. I have different feelings every time." She continued, "The dancers' agile steps and pure smiles makes it seem
as though they were dancing in heaven. They looked like celestial maidens
descending. Their purity is wonderful. The performance and the background
scenery fit together perfectly." Ms. Lin has been cultivating Taoism. She thought that the content of the show
was a great inspiration. She said, "Because we all have been in this human
world for so long and have become so dirty already, why don't we purify
ourselves and go back to where we came from soon?" Ms. Zou from the China Steel Machinery Company said, "The design of the
show is outstanding. The stories led the audience to the drama. 'Descent of the
Celestial Kings' demonstrates how the King led the gods to the human world to
save sentient beings. 'The Risen Lotus Flower' tells us that we will face
difficulties in cultivation. When we face the hardships, we need to stay
determined. I also think the female vocalist sang very well. The lyrics touched
our hearts. We felt as if our hearts have fallen and need to be saved. These
dancers are fabulous. When they dance, it is as if celestial beings are with
them. Their steps are so agile and graceful." Both of the ladies felt that using song and dance to spread the profound
significance of Chinese culture, and Buddhism and Gods is great. "Our
culture needs to be retained. The fast pace of the development of modern
technology has distracted our human minds. The entire society has been impacted.
Maybe the graceful and calm performing arts can help improve human morality.
Watching the show made us calm."
