Village Official Becomes Clearheaded After Suffering Karmic Retribution

(Clearwisdom.net) When a fellow practitioner and I went to clarify the truth, we came across a village official was in his 60's. Feeling that he was a nice person, I started a conversation with him. I asked him, "Uncle, have you heard about keeping oneself safe by withdrawing from the Communist Party?" He lowered his voice and told me, "I withdrew already. Falun Gong practitioners helped me to do it." He then signaled for us to step aside to continue the conversation.

He told us, "I used to be in charge of persecuting Falun Gong in my village. One time, I arrested a practitioner who distributed Falun Gong flyers. I slapped her twice really hard. Then my hands immediately became uncomfortable--and they still are. I know that it is retribution." I could see that he felt guilty and regretted what he did.

He continued, "During the period of time when I was assigned to watch Falun Gong practitioners, I saw that they always thought of others. They are all selfless and kind people. I was moved by their kindness. After they told me the facts about Falun Gong, I changed my attitude. Now I know."

I asked him, "Have you declared on-line your deeds in persecuting Falun Gong? You also need to make up for your mistakes and support Dafa." He said, "Someone declared it for me. I have also told other people not to persecute Falun Gong because Falun Gong is good." I encouraged him, "You will certainly have a bright future if you continue to do this."

As I watched him leave, I was happy that another life was saved.
