Additional Persecution News from China - March 5, 2008 (42 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of
persecution that took place in 31 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this
report, 29 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention
and at least 35 practitioners were illegally arrested. 1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xi Xiao'ai and Ms. Qi Xiurong Arrested Personnel from the Xugezhuang Police Station in Fengnan arrested Ms. Xi
Xiao'ai and 57-year-old Ms. Qi Xiurong from the Lunan District, Tangshan City
and put them into the city's Kaiping Forced Labor Camp on March 3, 2008. 2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Fenglin Arrested Personnel from the New Shenbei District Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang
Fenglin from Daoyi'er Village and held her in the district's detention center
for more than 10 days. 3. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested Personnel from the Fusong County Domestic Security Division and from the
Lushuihe Police Station arrested five practitioners at 5:00 p.m. on March 2,
2008. They are Ms. Pang Junyuan, Mr. Chen Shude, Mr. He Xiaofeng, Ms. Dou
Guangwu and Ms. Bai. It is unknown where they are being held. Police ransacked
the home of Ms. Dou and her husband, Mr. He, and confiscated their computer, a
printer, a CD burner, some Dafa books and truth clarification
materials, and a lot of cash. They also confiscated some Dafa books and truth
materials, a motorcycle and 2,000 yuan in cash from Mr. Chen's home. Guo Jun, Fusong County Domestic Security Division, Lushuihe Town, Fusong
County: 86-13904499222 4. [Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Qiu Huijun, Ms. Huang Guidi and Ms.
Song Guizhen Facing Illegal Sentences Ms. Qiu Huijun, Ms. Huang Guidi, and Ms. Song Guizhen were arrested in
October 2007 and are facing illegal sentences. Their families are trying to hire
a lawyer. 5. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhou Yongbing Arrested Personnel from the Zhenzhushan Police Station arrested Mr. Zhou Yongbing at
1:00 a.m. on March 4, 2008, when he posted truth clarification materials at the
Zhongnan Grand Market. Li Hong, Zhenzhushan Police Station chief in Yueyang City: 86-13637300136 6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jin Shuzhi Was Admitted to the
Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp on the Morning of March 3, 2008 7. [Gejiu City, Yunan Province] Mr. Wang Yinzhong and Mr. Dong Mingzu
Arrested Several policemen including Zong Congfu arrested Mr. Wang Yinzhong the night
of January 8, 2008. They broke into Mr. Dong Mingzu's home in the absence of his
family and ransacked the place. They confiscated a computer, a printer, a bank
deposit registering 7,000 yuan, and three bags of socks. They arrested Mr. Dong from his workplace at 12:00 a.m. on January 11, 2008.
The two practitioners are presently being held in Yingpeng Detention Center in
Gejiu City. 8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested Police arrested Ms. Deng Yufang, a doctor with Daqing City People's Hospital
on January 20, 2008, because she was using paper bills with truth clarification
messages printed on them. Sixty-year-old Ms. Zhang Limin, a doctor at a private
clinic, was involved in the case and arrested the next day. The two
practitioners were persecuted for two weeks and then released. Ms. Zhao Yuzhen, a teacher with the city's No. 12 Middle School, was reported
and subsequently arrested and put in a detention center on February 20, 2008,
because she used bills with truth clarification messages on them. The police
attempted to ransack Ms. Zhao's home in the Zhonglin Street Community, but
failed when Ms. Zhao's family resisted. Mr. Fan Yachang and his non-practitioner wife, Ms. Li Mingyu, both middle
school teachers, used some bills with truth clarification phrases written on
them on February 23, 2008, but were reported. Mr. Fan's and his mother's
homes were ransacked and the police confiscated a LCD monitor. Ms. Li has been
released, but Mr. Fan has been held at the Longfeng No. 3 Detention Center. 9. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Supplemental Information Regarding the
Arrest of Mr. Wang Zenghu Personnel from the Suning Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Wang Zenghu
on February 25, 2008, because he distributed truth clarification CDs near the
Chengguan Town Police Station. 10. [Beijing] Mr. Shi Fujie Persecuted at the Beijing Dispatching Center Police had Mr. Shi Fujie monitored around the clock during his detention at
the Beijing Dispatch Center in 2007. Those who monitored Mr. Shi often tortured
Mr. Shi by doing such things as forcing him to lie on a hard board for several
days. 11. [Shijing City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Qingjie Arrested on February 1,
2008, for Using Truth-Clarification Bills 12. [Dalian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Ma Fengyi Facing Illegal Sentence Mr. Ma Fengyi is being held at the Da'an City Detention Center. The city's
court agents planned to sentence him. 13. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Xiuying Arrested - Belated
News Police arrested Ms. Cui Xiuying from Sanjiazi Street, the Nanpiao District in
Huludao City, on March 3, 2005, when she explained the facts about Falun Gong to
local police officers. 14. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qu Chengye Arrested Thirty officers from the Jinzhou City Police Department and from the Shahe
Police Station arrested Mr. Qu Chengye from his home in Shahe Town, Laizhou
City, at 6:00 a.m. on February 25, 2008. Police confiscated five Ozone Machines
and a laptop computer. Mr. Qu is presently being held at the Jinzhou City No. 1
Detention Center. Taihe Police Station: 86-416-5179235 15. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Li Maofeng and Ms. Shi Jingru
Arrested Ms. Li Maofeng from Houzai Village, Huzhen Town, Jinyun County is presently
being held at the Lishui Sanyansi Detention Center. Ms. Shi Jingru is being held
at the Jinyun County Police Station's Detention Center. 16. [Shanghai] Ms. Gu Jianmin Arrested Personnel from the Yangjing Police Station in the New Pudong District
arrested Ms. Gu Jianmin the afternoon of March 1, 2008. Ms. Gu, 54 years old, lives at 13-601 Room, 400 Lane, New Yangguang Village,
Dadao Xishan Street in the New Pudong District. She was sentenced to one year of
forced labor in June 2006 for explaining the facts about Falun Gong. 17. [Liaoning Province] Jinzhou Prison Officials Establish Guidelines for
Reforming Practitioners 18. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Feng Zhigang and Ms. Zhang
Aiping Sentenced in the Tianhe District Court Tianhe District Court agents sentenced Mr. Feng Zhigang and Ms. Zhang Aiping
from Hubei Province. They are presently being held at the district's detention
center. Ms. Zhang has been held there for more than five months. Tianhe District People's Court: 86-20-87581820 19. [Beijing] Mr. Qi Xianchun from Shoupa Lane in the Xuanwu District
Arrested from His Home on February 25, 2008 20. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Shuwen and His Wife, Ms. Liu
Yulan, Arrested Personnel from the Pingquan County Police Department Domestic Security
Division arrested the Mr. Wang Shuwen and Ms. Liu Yulan, his wife, from their
home in Pingquan County at 10:00 p.m. on March 2, 2008. 21. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Yuxia Arrested Personnel from the Baiyin District Police Department arrested 47-year-old Ms.
Zhang Yuxia on February 28, 2008, while she was on a business trip to the
Yinguang Factory in the district. 22. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Guiling and Ms. Mo Yuhua
Arrested Ms. Gao Guiling and Ms. Mo Yuhua were arrested on March 3, 2008, and are
presently being held at the Shenyang City Detention Center. 23. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guiping Was Arrested at Nanyang
Market at 11:00 a.m. on March 3, 2008 for Explaining the Facts about Falun Gong 24. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Qian and Ms. Xu Juhua Held
at the Tianhe District Detention Center Personnel from the Tianhe District 610 Office and from the Tangxia Police
Station arrested Ms. Huang Qian and Ms. Xu Juhua. Police confiscated 40,000 yuan
from Ms. Huang's home. The two are presently being held in the district's
detention center. 25. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Police Harass Practitioners Six police officers broke into the homes of Mr. Lu Qingshan and Ms. Sun Yue
and ransacked them at 9:00 p.m. on March 3, 2008. Personnel from the Shanghewan Town Police Station in Jiutai City broke into a
practitioner's home in Yufeng Village on March 1, 2008. They confiscated a copy
of Zhuan Falun and videotaped the search process with a cell
phone. 26. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zheng Xiaoli Facing Illegal Sentence Personnel from the Zhongyuan Oil Field's 610 Office arrested Ms. Zheng Xiaoli
on September 15, 2008. Hualong District Court agents in Puyang City attempted to
sentence Ms. Zheng at 2:00 p.m. on March 5, 2008. 27. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Li Junhua and His Wife, Ms. Guo
Lan'e, Persecuted Personnel from the Yaoqiao Police Station arrested Ms. Guo Lan'e from her
home on September 29, 2007. Her husband, Mr. Li Junhua, has not lived at home
since then. Their daughter lives alone. Ms. Guo was put on a trial on December
20, 2007, but no verdict was reached. It is heard that the court agents plan to
sentence Ms. Guo to five to seven years in prison. She is presently being held
in the city's No. 1 Detention Center's No. 8 Section. Zhengzhou City No.1 Detention Center Procurator Office: 86-371-6677309,
86-371-6677129 28. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] The Persecution of Ms. Liu Zhihua and Her
Mother, Ms. Wang Lifen Personnel from the Fengrun District 610 Office and from the Hancheng Police
Station arrested Ms. Liu Zhihua and her mother, Ms. Wang Lifen, from
Zhongmenzhuang Village, Hancheng Town, the Fengrun District, the afternoon of
December 20, 2007. They have been held for two months. Li Chunyuan, Fengrun District Police Department chief: 86-13832987098 29. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Fengqin and Ms. Zhang Xueping
Arrested Policeman Chen Zhonggang and others from the Wuwei City Domestic Security
Division arrested 40-year-old Ms. Wang Fengqin and 30-year-old Ms. Zhang Xueping
on August 30, 2007. They are presently being held in Wuwei City Police
Department's Heping Town Detention Center. Liangzhou District Court agents sentenced Ms. Wang and Ms. Zhang to four and
a half and three years in prison, respectively, on January 15, 2008. They also
sentenced Ms. Zhang's 70-year-old father, Mr. Zhang Wenpei, to six years in
prison. They were charged with making Falun Dafa truth clarification materials. The police also arrested Ms. Wang Yucui and sentenced her to one year in
prison. 30. [Haikou City, Hainan Province] Recent Information about Mr. Fan Pingfei Mr. Fan Pingfei is presently being held at the Haikou City No.1 Detention
Center. Police plan to sentence him to a long prison term. Prior to this arrest,
Mr. Fan had been sentenced to three years in prison for making truth
clarification materials. Qiongshan District People's Procuratorate: 86-898-65877354 31. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested Sixty-year-old Ms. Song Xuemei from Baima Town, Miyi County, explained the
facts about Falun Gong to a plainclothes policeman at 12:00 p.m. on March 4,
2008. Officer Yang Zihua from the county's Domestic Security Division and Wang
Yun from the Baima Town Police Station arrested Ms. Song and ransacked her home.
They arrested 60-year-old Ms. Cai Huilian and 60-year-old Ms. Gu Xingfeng at
2:00 p.m. Later that day. The three practitioners are presently being held in
the county's Domestic Security Division. 32. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cao Guiru Arrested Tiedong Police Station chief Zhang Hongjun and several policemen, including
Xu Zhiguo, arrested Ms. Cao Guiru from Shulan City the morning of March 4, 2008. 33. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jinxiu Arrested Police arrested Ms. Chen Jinxiu at 12:00 a.m. on March 2, 2008, when she
posted truth clarification materials. She is presently being held at the Jiayu
County No.1 Detention Center. 34. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Police Stay in Practitioner Ms. Chen Man's
Home Personnel from the Wuhan City Domestic Security Division's 610 Office
arrested Ms. Chen Man and Ms. Xiong Yingzi. Officers have stayed in Ms. Chen's
home since the arrest. Anyone who went to the home was photographed. 35. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Supplemental Information Regarding the
Arrest of Mr. Liu Jinsheng Mr. Liu Jinsheng was arrested on February 29, 2008. Mr. Liu and his wife, Ms.
Gao Yulan, are being held in Jiangyuan County Detention Center. Mr. Liu has not
taken fluids or eaten since February 29, 2008. His family were not allowed to

86-13894739969 36. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Jianxia Went Missing on October 29, 2007, on the Way to
Tongzhou County to Explain the Facts about Falun Gong 37. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Police Arrest Ms. Wang Huaiqin Personnel from the Dayu Township Police Station arrested 43-year-old Ms. Wang
Huaiqin near the Yuhe Bridge in the Kuiwen District, Weifang City, at noon on
March 1, 2008. 38. [Langfang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guixiang Arrested Ms. Wang Guixiang from Jiaokangzhuang Village, Wang Township, Weifang City,
was arrested on March 2, 2008. She had been sentenced to one and a half years of
forced labor and had already lived away from home for three years. 39. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Lin Qinghui and Mr. Pan Zhiming from
Songjianghe Town, Fusong County, Were Arrested the Evening of March 2, 2008 40. [Jiamusi City, Jilin Province] The Persecution of Ms. Zhang Chunying Ms. Zhang Chunying from Jiamusi City went to the Longjiang Law Office and
inquired about Ms. Cui Shengyun's case on November 29, 2007. She explained the
facts of Falun Gong to several lawyers, but a lawyer followed her and reported
her to the police, who stopped her at the Heping Street crossing in the Yonghe
District and pushed her into a police vehicle. She was put in a detention
center. Personnel from the Changsheng Police Station ransacked Ms. Zhang's home in
her family's absence at 3:00 p.m. on November 30, 2007, but they found nothing
related to Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang's family paid 15,000 yuan, and she was
eventually released. 41. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yan Jinghua Has Been Held at the
Dashan Detention Center Since February 20, 2008 Ningxia Street Police Station: 86-532-66575819 42. [Liaoning Province] Practitioners Being Held in Panjin Prison Practitioners being held in Panjin Prison are Mr. Wang Tao (transferred from
Shenyang City No.2 Prison), Mr. Liu Huaxin (transferred from Huazi Prison in
Liaoyang City and sentenced to nine years in prison), Mr. Yang Benliang (from
Dalian City, sentenced to 10 years in prison), and Mr. Zhang Wei (from Dalian
