Toronto, Canada: Practitioners Represent the Chinese Community in St. Patrick's Day Parade (Photos) By Minghui reporter Zhang Yun
(Clearwisdom.net) On March 16, local Falun Gong practitioners took part
in the 21st Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Toronto.
Among 47 groups, Falun Gong practitioners' Divine Land Marching Band was the
only Chinese contingent. Falun Gong practitioners' group The Divine Land Marching Band According to Mr. Jack Fernes, the organizer of the parade, seven groups
representing minority communities in the city, including Polish, Chinese, Greek,
and Portuguese, participated in the parade. Mr. Fernes said, "The Divine
Land Marching Band performed in the parade last year. People like their
performances. We are glad to see them again this year. They are a great
representation of the Chinese community." David Devall was the one of judges of the parade this year. He said,
"The Divine Land Marching Band is excellent. They did a wonderful
presentation." Mr. Yu, a Chinese immigrant, watched the parade with his daughter. He had
high praise for the band. He said, "I know Falun Gong is a good group. I
also know about the persecution of the practice in China. The Communist Party is
the origin of all the disasters in China. Chinese people will not have happiness
until the Communist Party collapses."
