Studying the Fa Well Is the Fundamental Guarantee for Doing Everything Well

I started to practice Falun Gong in May of 1999. It was relatively late compared with other local practitioners. However, since the location of group Fa-study was at my home, and since I attended the study every day, I made good progress in a short period of time. After July 20, 1999, the environment of the group study was destroyed. In addition, I could not maintain steadfastness in studying the Fa. Therefore, my Fa-study became a formality, and I could not finish a chapter in several days. While doing the three things, I did not clearly understand things from the perspective of the Fa, and did things as if simply completing a task. In 2002, the old forces took advantage of my gaps. My home was ransacked, and I was jailed for several months.

In the jail, I deeply felt the pain of being unable to study the Fa. It was more painful than losing physical freedom. After I was released from the jail, I searched inward and tried to find my loopholes. Through Fa-study, my mind became clear. I found that the biggest loophole was that I did not study the Fa well, among many attachments. I did not treat Fa-study as a daily necessity. If I wanted to catch up with other practitioners, I had to study the Fa more seriously. After that, I made sure to study a chapter of Zhuan Falun every day. If any other free time was available, I would study the other Fa lectures. At the same time, I started to send forth righteous thoughts more often (at least 10 times a day), in order to purify my dimension. After half a year, I felt that I could catch up with other practitioners, and gradually got involved in some coordination work.

Several years ago, our truth-clarifying VCD's were supplied by the practitioners from another city, and they always had a shortage. The local coordinator and I decided to make VCD's by ourselves. In September 2003, a practitioner brought us a CD burner. I had never seen this kind of machine before. There was not a single Chinese letter and everything was written in English. Nobody taught us how to use it, and we did not know how to adjust it. The default speed was 12x and it took 7 to 8 minutes to burn a CD. Therefore, I had to spend about 20 hours burning CD's every week. There are six members in my family. I did not let them know what I was doing, since I did not want them to worry about me. Therefore, I used the time between midnight and 3 am to burn CD's every evening. Because I sent forth righteous thoughts every hour in the evening, and the machine also needed to cool down, the productivity was not so good. This situation lasted until 2005.

After the Nine Commentaries was published, I had to make not only truth-clarifying VCD's, but also Nine Commentaries VCD's. My work load doubled, and I had to make about 400 CD's every week. During Chinese New Year or other holidays, I had to burn 600 to 700 CD's. My record was to burn close to 1000 CD's a week. One day, a family member of mine got up early and discovered this "family secret." However, they all understood the truth and supported Dafa. Because of my determination in studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts, and my basis on "responsible for the Fa, fellow practitioners, and sentient beings," my material site was relatively stable. One day, my CD burner stopped working. I asked for help from the practitioners in the city. Normally, a CD burner needed to be replaced after burning 10 thousand CD's. However, mine had already burned 30 thousand CD's before having any trouble.

As the Fa rectification process moves along, the standards of the Fa were getting higher and higher. Master asked us to build material sites like flowers blooming everywhere. I realized that I should upgrade my equipment. Therefore, in the winter of 2005, I bought a computer and a laser printer. I began to search the internet, learn new skills, and started new projects to validate Dafa and save sentient beings. I remembered when we edited our first local material; we did not know anything about editing or typesetting, and nobody could answer my questions. However, based on a determined mind, I made it happen. I just sat in front of the computer, clicked the mouse, and typed. Suddenly, a miracle happened and the organized information materialized before my eyes. I could not even repeat all I had done once again. It was really unbelievable. At this moment, I truly realized the truth of "Cultivation is up to you, gong is up to the Master." (Zhuan Falun) I also truly understood that everything was done by Master, and Master only looks at our hearts.

In the past years, no matter if anything happened to myself or my family, I always put the Fa and saving the sentient beings as the first priority. Fortunately, no big mishap occurred and I could always deliver material to fellow practitioners on time. There was about 200 thousand yuan donated by the fellow practitioners to save sentient beings. I spent the money only on purchasing supplies because I understand that I should walk righteously on the path, and could not do anything wrong.

Now, at my home-based materials site, we can burn CD's; take resignations from the CCP; print all the truth-clarifying materials; edit or produce local fliers, booklets, and posters; send materials to the Minghui website [Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net]; and produce books of the Nine Commentaries and Zhuan Falun.

Looking back at the past 9 years of my cultivation, I can see that I was saved by Master from hell. He transformed me from a person full of karma into a "Dafa disciple." Master spent boundless effort and compassionate care on me. Whenever I think of this, tears fill my eyes.

From cultivation in the Fa-rectification period, I deeply understood the importance of studying the Fa well. Master reminds us to study the Fa, study the Fa, and study the Fa more in every lecture. I realized that I should start to memorize the Fa. From December 2005 to October 2006, I recited Zhuan Falun twice which gave me a great power in advancement based on the Fa. In conclusion, my experience from the cultivation in Fa-rectification period is to study the Fa more and study the Fa well. Truly studying the Fa with a calm mind is the fundamental guarantee of doing everything well. Sending forth righteous thoughts, eliminating the evil forces, and purifying the dimension that I am responsible for have maintained the stability of my home-based materials site.
