Cultivating Well and Clarifying the Truth Well

1. As Dafa practitioners, cultivating according to the cosmic principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" we are living "truth-clarification materials."

By cultivating ourselves in society, we as Dafa disciples can save all sentient beings. Our words and deeds when clarifying the facts are very important to save sentient beings. I once witnessed a street vendor selling fruit. Some people were very encroaching. They bit into the fruit, saying that they wanted to taste it before buying it and then they only offered to pay a percentage of the asking price. I never bargained with the vendor and made a good impression on him. He told me, "Nowadays there are not many people like you." I told him that I am a Falun Gong practitioner and all true Falun Gong practitioners would do the same thing and even better than I had done. I also advised him to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He didn't hesitate for a moment and immediately quit the Communist Youth League. Later on, whenever I purchased fruit from him, I used the bills with quitting the CCP information written on them. I was upfront about using these bills and he said, "No problem! I'll use them. Don't worry."

I have sewing skills so I help colleagues and neighbors do needlework. As I do, I clarify the truth and encourage them to quit the CCP. While I was in my hometown, I also assisted old ladies doing needlework and told them about the greatness of Dafa. Practitioners should assimilate every thought to the universal characteristics "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Starting with behaving as better people, we can cultivate to the righteous thoughts of selflessness. People will see Dafa practitioners' deeds and feel the compassion of practitioners.

2. Sharing personal experiences helps people relate and to recognize the evil nature of the CCP

For the many decades of the CCP's totalitarian rule, it has committed thousands of crimes against the Chinese people. Often I told my father's stories about what he saw, experienced and heard about the CCP's monstrous offenses. This exerted an imperceptible influence on my family. As a result, they saw clearly the evil nature of the CCP and withdrawing from the CCP became instinctive.

In 2005, I took a dietitian training class. The teacher told us a story: during the cultural revolution, a doctor's house was searched and his property was confiscated because he had studied in Japan. A Japanese flag was found in his home and there was a Japanese signature on the flag. The flag was just a gift from his Japanese friend. However, the doctor was convicted of being a Japanese special agent while the flag was used as irrefutable evidence. There was no room for his verbal defense. While he was suffering from this agonizing persecution, he committed suicide by cutting his own throat. It was a horrible sight.

After I explained the CCP's crimes to a friend, she also shared about the tough years she experienced. At the end, both she and her husband withdrew from the CCP. Relating our own experiences helps to reveal the facts because it allows people to identify with it. At the same time, people may narrate the stories that they have seen and heard to expose the CCP's nefarious doings. Hence, we can communicate with people and our message will echo in their hearts. This contributes to help people recognize the CCP's intrinsic evil nature, withdraw from the CCP and choose a good future for themselves.

3. In the winter of 2005, I went to the local 610 Office several times and clarified the truth to the director. He asked my opinion about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I told him, "We read the Emperor's New Clothes when we were in elementary school. The subjects of the king saw nothing, yet praised the clothes. Only one small child cried out, 'But he has nothing on!' The Nine Commentaries is like the small child pointing out the facts." The director had been unable to accept the Nine Commentaries before but my comparison led him rethink his view. Lastly, I gave him a greeting card which read, "A good attitude towards Dafa will bring a good future." He indicated that he would never persecute Dafa practitioners.

Studying the Fa is the key to clarifying the facts and ensuring the salvation of sentient beings. Through constant Fa study and truth clarification, sentient beings will feel the compassion of Dafa practitioners.
