Practitioner Ms. Zhou Huimin Tortured To Brink of Death

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhou Huimin from Sichuan Province was arrested in Chengdu on the evening of September 26, 2007. On February 1, 2008, personnel from the Chenghua District Police Department took her to the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province. Ms. Zhou Huimin has been on hunger strike to protest her arrest and the persecution of Falun Dafa. She was taken to Qingyang District Hospital on Wanhe Road, Chengdu City on February 5, and she is reportedly now in a coma. She cannot speak and her life is in danger. Local Party authorities have told her family to prepare for her death.

Ms. Zhou Huimin has been arrested six times. She was imprisoned at Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province on three of those occasions. During the 856 days of her illegal imprisonment, she was subjected to many kinds of torture. On September 7-19, 2002, she was tortured at the Qingyang District Hospital. For 12 hours every day, she was hung on a bed frame by foot shackles and two handcuffs, one from her calf and one from her hand. Armed police and wardens from the detention center took shifts monitoring her.

The Qingyang District Hospital in Chengdu City, in cooperation with the 610 Office, the police department, and the detention center, have tortured many Falun Dafa practitioners to death since 1999, when the persecution of Falun Dafa began. The number of confirmed deaths here has reached eight. The claimed cause of the deaths is "organ failure due to hunger strike."

Rural Enterprise Bureau Deputy Director Ms. Huang Min (a practitioner) was tortured to death in August 2007. An unknown yellow drug in her mouth spread all over her face and emitted an irritating smell. Ms. Duan Shiqiong from Chongqing City, also a practitioner, was tortured to death in September 2003. Her husband was shown a corpse, but not that of his wife. Ms. Duan Shiqiong's remains are still to be recovered. Why did the police switch the corpses? Who was the unidentified body?
