Canada: Falun Gong Practitioners Attend the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Montreal (Photos) By Minghui reporter Xiao Yan
(Clearwisdom.net) The 184th St. Patrick's Day
Parade in Montreal, Canada, was held on March 16, 2008. Thirty-six bands and 48
floats participated in the parade. The Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of
almost 100 Falun Gong practitioners from Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, also
performed in the parade. The parade followed Ste-Catherine Ave. The Divine Land Marching Band's
performances seemed to please the many spectators. People waved and took photos
of the band. Many Chinese people also took photos with the band. Practitioners
passed out many truth-clarifying brochures. Distributing truth-clarifying materials This was the first time the band performed in this parade. In previous St.
Patrick's Day parades, practitioners demonstrated the exercises on a float and
performed waist drums and traditional Chinese dances. The organizers of the
parade were very impressed with the Falun Gong group. They were glad that the
band performed in this year's parade. The organizer of another parade in a town close to Montreal invited the band
