I Started Practicing Falun Dafa in Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) I was saved and blessed by Falun Dafa. It is my responsibility and mission to clarify the truth with my personal experience and to validate the power of Dafa.

I used to be a government official. In 1995, I started my own business. However, I suffered a great injustice when I was put in prison on May 24, 2000. During the Cultural Revolution, my father was imprisoned by the Chinese Communist Party and later died in prison. My whole family was under surveillance then. Even his own siblings dared not visit us. The new hatreds on top of the old discouraged me completely. I only thought of how to seek revenge on the people who put me there. With attachments to fame, self interest, and sentimental mentalities, I could not eat or sleep well. I was given injections and took medicine every day during the two months I was in the detention center. But my illness did not improve and I thought death would be easier than living.

People were taken to the detention center every day. Later I found out that those with kind faces were Dafa practitioners. They did the hard and dirty work before others. And they let others eat and sleep first. They recited Teacher's articles every day and followed the Fa's standard. I thought they were really nice people with good manners, so I liked to be with them. When I read a handwritten copy of Hong Yin and some short articles of Teacher's, I was sorry I had not met them sooner.

At that time, many practitioners were illegally detained there. They taught me the exercises and shared experiences with me. My mind became clear as a result. On July 20, 2000, I started practicing Falun Dafa. From Teacher's Fa, I enlightened that one's body will be purified if one starts practicing Falun Dafa.

I was able to become less concerned about my situation and let go of my attachments to my family. I did my best to treat practitioners well. I recited Hong Yin, Lunyu and other articles of Teacher's every day. Within one month of beginning the practice, I saw something everyday people could not see. One morning around 9 a.m., I was reciting "Abiding in the Dao" (from Hong Yin) with my eyes closed. I suddenly saw Falun rotating with colors of red, orange, yellow, green, sky-blue, blue, and purple. It was extremely beautiful. And it also seemed that I heard the sound of the Falun rotating. That was the first time I ever saw any scene from another dimension. The next day, I saw light when I closed my eyes. Then I saw a great enlightened being wearing a yellow Buddha's robe meditating. I immediately thought that this was Teacher. Since then, I have become more steadfast in cultivating Falun Dafa.

I continue to study the Fa, do the exercises, and recite the Fa every day. My body and spirit have been purified. I was released in 2005, two years ahead of schedule. Falun Dafa saved me and Teacher showed me the way "home."
