Numerous Practitioners Arrested in Bangbu City, Anhui Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 5, 2008, the police arrested several Falun Dafa practitioners in Bangbu City, Anhu Province:

Mr. Huang Andong, 40 years old, a physics teacher employed by Hubin Experimental High School. More than ten officers from the Bangshan District Police Department stormed into his home at noon. The police arrested him, ransacked his home, and he was detained at the Bangbu City First Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Suqin, 60 years old, lives in Bangbu City. Several officers stormed into her home, arrested her,and ransacked her home. She was detained at the Bangbu City First Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Suzhen was arrested and detained at the Bangbu City First Detention Center.

Ms. Pan Yuling, in her 60s, lives in Hongye Village. Officers arrested her, ransacked her home, and she was detained at the Bangbu City First Detention Center.

Ms. Liang Huaiyuan, nearly 70 years old. On the morning of March 5, 2008, officers from Xincheng District Police Department picked the lock and opened the door to her house. The police ransacked her home, arrested her, and detained her at the Bangbu City First Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Suzhen, about 65 years old. Officers arrested her and ransacked both of her homes. Her elderly father has been left alone with no one to care for him.

Ms. Duan Yinhua, lives in Shenwei Village. At noon on March 5, 2008, she was warned by some sympathetic people that more than ten officers broke into her home and she should avoid going there. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Qin Sulan, 65 years old. More than ten officers stormed into her home on the morning of March 5, 2008. She has high blood pressure and cannot walk. The police tried carrying her with a bed sheet, but her daughter-in-law strongly protested. The police left at 8 p.m. without her.

Ms. Qian Xiu, an employee of Donghai Cigarette Factory, practitioner Wei (gender and given name unknown), and another practitioner who live in Huaiyuan County were all arrested.

According to an inside source, the arrest of several practitioners was instigated by the Bangshan District CCP Political and Judiciary Committee. Officers from the police stations, police departments, State Security divisions, and the 610 Office and other specialized divisions to persecute Falun Gong all participated in the arrests.
