Renowned Plastic Surgeon: Glad I Did Not Miss It Again (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) At 2 p.m. on March 15, 2008, the touring company of the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) put on its first show at Taipei's International Convention Center (ICC).

Plastic surgeon James Chang: My determination helped me to catch the show in time.

Renowned plastic surgeon Dr. James Chang rushed to the Convention Center missing part of the first half. Dr. Chang was glad he didn't miss the show again. "I wanted to come last year when a friend introduced the show to me, but I had to miss it due to work. This year, I was determined to come and I canceled some appointments. I was still late, but I finally made it."

Dr. Chang was most impressed by "Drummers of the Tang Court." The power demonstrated moved him.

He noted the contrast between the good and the evil depicted in the show. "I felt like crying when I saw the "Risen Lotus Flower" depicting the persecution of Falun Gong!"

Some of the programs such as the fan dance, the "Water Sleeves," and the "Drummers of the Tang Court" combined softness and power. Dr. Chang thought that the softness can help people settle their emotions and let go of their personal resentments. He thinks it is a great thing to promote the peaceful, gentle beauty, to have people understand humbleness and sympathy and stop doing wrong.

Dr. Chang took with him a deeper understanding of the meaning of predestined relationships from the show. He believes that the Creator of the universe cares about mankind and meets with them, which is men's great fortune. The kind thoughts of the two men in the program "The Fruits of Goodness" led them to their encounter with Buddha and thus completely changed them. Dr. Chang believes this experience is very precious and one should cherish it and be grateful. "If everyone can have an experience like those two in the program, the society would become so harmonious."

Dr. Chang is a very spiritual person and thinks morality is very important. He thinks the influence of such cultural art will bring about peaceful human nature. He mentioned the program "The Power of Awareness" as an example - the peace destroyed by violence eventually comes back because of the power of justice.

Dr .Chang praised the artistic value of the show, "The costumes, colors used, the layout of the stories are all very smooth. The facial expressions and physical movements of the artists is performing art at its best. The show is a great success. Next time the DPA is here, I will come and bring friends."
