By Minghui/Clearwisdom correspondent Tang Ling
(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts (DPA) was on stage at National
Chung Cheng University on March 20, 2008. It was the last show of the Chinese
Spectacular in Taiwan. Many educators were there to watch the show. The
president of Chung Cheng University, Mr. Wu Jyh-Yang, said he was greatly moved
by the elegant and superb performance, and feels that it should definitely be
promoted. President of Chung Cheng University Mr. Wu Jyh-Yang Mr. Wu said a show like this was rarely seen in Taiwan. The traditional
dances covered all ages and were very characteristic of Chinese culture. He felt
that the pieces performed in the later half of the show were very heart-shaking,
especially, "Victory Drums." Mr. Wu was very impressed with the song
"Rest Knowing." He praised the singer's voice as vigorous and
heart-shaking. Mr. Wu said the Spectacular was very exquisite, including the artists' body
language, costumes and the modern-technology background. He said that traditional values in society had been diluted, and traditional
culture has been ignored. The teaching of values is lacking in elementary
schools, middle schools and universities. A traditional dance like "The
Loyalty of Yue Fei" showed patriotism and had very a positive, educational
influence. Mr. Wu said that he felt great and very refreshed after watching the show.
"I haven't seen a show like this for many years. I had lost this part. Now
the lost culture is found. I think recommending this show would be very
worthwhile."
