Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Li Wenbo Held at the Yunnan Province No. 2 Forced Labor Camp Despite Doctors Recommendations

(Clearwisdom.net) Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared on the minghui.ca website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).

Ms. Li Wenbo was incarcerated in Division 4 of the Yunnan Province No. 2 Forced Labor Camp on February 6, 2005, and she remains at this forced labor camp to this day. During this time she has has often been savagely tortured. Her eyes were damaged from a beating on January 13, 2006, and never recovered. Six of her teeth have been knocked out. She may have also suffered a back injury from multiple beatings because she can only sit up, and is unable to lie down at night.

On one occasion when she was taken to the Wuding County Hospital for an exam, the doctor issued a certificate for her to receive further examinations in Kunming City [capital of Yunnan Province], but the doctor's request was denied. The camp guards transferred Ms. Li Wenbo from Division 4 to Division 3 on August 21, 2007. The captors once again took her to the Wuding County Hospital on October 23, 2007. The examining physician again pressed for her to be taken to Kunming, but regime officials again denied his urgent request. Ms. Li Wenbo has requested a physical exam and a judicial investigation concerning her injuries, but her request fell on deaf ears.
