(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities and counties in 5 provinces. In this report, two practitioner were subjected to brutal treatment during their detention and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Two Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
The police from Daxing Police Station in Changtu County broke into Mr. Sun Guoxue's home on March 7, 2008, and confronted him about whether or not he was going to go to Beijing during the Olympic Games. Sun replied, "I am not sure." He was then arrested. At night the police also arrested Ms. Yang Xinpin, and seized her CD burner and all of her CDs. The two practitioners are being held in Changtu Detention Center. Ms. Yang's mother who is 60 years old and her daughter, who is in junior high school, now have nobody to take care of them.

2. [Shenmu County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Hu Zhonghou Arrested
On March 3, 2008, Mr. Hu Zhonghou from Shenmu County was arrested while he was in his home. He is currently in a detention center and his family is forbidden to see him.

3. [Shanghai City] Ms. Zhang Hangmei, a Practitioner from Minhuang District, Arrested in March 2008.
4. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Yu Yongman Taken to Brainwashing Session in Shizuizi House of Correction
In 2003, Mr. Yu Yongman, who is 54 years old and from Liaoning Chemical Refinery, was detained in Anshan Prison. He was sentenced to four years. In December 2007 he was transferred to Dalian Prison. He was supposed to be released on March 10, 2008, but he is now being transferred to Shizuizi House of Correction.
5. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Zenghu Detained
On February 25, 2008, Mr. Wang Zenghu was taken to Chengguan Police Station, Suning County, the Cangzhou Area, after he went to Cangzhou to do business. He was arrested after someone reported him distributing "truth-clarification" CDs. Suning Police Department searched his home and confiscated his computer. The police have forbidden his family to visit him.
6. [Lincang City, Yunan Province] Mr. Li Zhen Persecuted
Mr. Li Zhen from Fengqing County, Lincang City, was arrested in Hongyun Residential Section, Xishan District, Kunming City, on August 31, 2007. His family has been forbidden to see him for six months already. This is the fourth time that he has been arrested.
Li Zhen's sister, Ms. Li Xian, was sentenced to four years in prison for clarifying the truth. She is being detained in Yunan No.2 Women's Prison.
7. [Pengshan County, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested.
On March 10, 2008, at 3:00 p.m., police from Pengshan State Security Brigade went to Mr. He Tianling's home and arrested him and Mr. He Tong. The police then choked them using a strand of cord.

8. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Daxing Police Harassed Practitioners
On March 9, 2008, in Changtu County, the chief of Daxing Police Station Zhao Yonggang, deputy chief Tong Guojun, and another policeman went to Chengjia Village to search practitioner Ms. Zhang Guiqin's home.
9. [Beijing] A Practitioner Arrested
Mr. Qi is a 60-year-old practitioner who lives in the Waiwanzi Section of Guanganmen. He was arrested while in his home and the police searched his entire house.
