Mr. Dou Xianhong Family's Livelihood Threatened

(Clearwisdom.net) [Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared on the minghui.ca website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).]

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Dou Xianhong from Shijiazhuang City has been persecuted many times for his belief. The local police in the Hongxing District where he lives are now trying to expel his family from the area. He had previously lived in Bolinzhuang, but the police forced him to move for no legitimate reason.

Mr. Dou graduated from Beijing's University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and was assigned a technical job at the Hongxing Plane Factory. Soon after he began working there, he was awarded the title "Advanced Worker." Mr. Dou went to Beijing to appeal after the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999. Police and regime officials made life hard for him, and he was forced to live a homeless life to avoid further persecution. He was held in Handan City for several years for refusing to give his name. After his family rescued him, the factory dismissed him from his job because he persevered in his belief. Mr. Dou now lives at the factory dormitory. He and his wife have a two-year-old and live a difficult life. The torture he was subjected to in Handan resulted in the deterioration of his eyesight. Mr. Dou can now perform only light manual work. The regime has refused to restore his job and has publicly threatened to remove him and his family from the district.
