Today's report relates persecution incidents that involve 28 cities or counties in eleven provinces. Twenty-five Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal treatment during detention, and at least 46 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Feng Suqin Died as a Result of Persecution - belated news

Ms. Feng Suqin lived at No. 94 Garden Street in the Nangang District, Harbin City. Personnel from the district's Liaoyuan Police Station arrested her from her home on July 6, 2002, and later sentenced her to three years in prison. She was held in the city's Women's Prison until July 5, 2005. Ms. Feng was paralyzed after the three years in the prison. She was eventually bedridden and died on October 14, 2007.

2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioners Held in the Tianhe Detention Center

Some practitioners are still being held at the Tianhe District Detention Center. The women practitioners are Ms. Zhao Yingmei, Ms. Xu Juhua, Ms. Luo Haiyan, Ms. Zhang Qingyun, Ms. Huang Qian, Ms. Geng Ruijun, Ms. Huang Fangli and Ms. Zhang Aiping. The men practitioners are Mr. Liao Liming and Mr. Zhao Litang.

3. [Qidong City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhou Hexiu and Mr. Wang Benlou Arrested

Sixty-six-year-old Ms. Zhou Hexiu from Baidi Town, Qidong County, Hengyang City went to Qiyang County to explain the facts about Falun Gong on March 2, 2008, but someone reported her. Personnel from the Chengdong Police Station in Qiyang County in Yongzhou City arrested her and handcuffed her to a window frame. Police ordered her family to pay 10,000 yuan, otherwise, they would sentence Ms. Zhou to three years of forced labor. Ms. Zhou is presently being held at the county's detention center.

Personnel from the Guanjiazui Town Police Station broke into the home of 45-year-old Mr. Wang Benlou in Guanjiazui Town, Qidong County, Hengyang City and arrested him the afternoon of March 9, 2008. The reason for the arrest and Mr. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Fengman Street Police Precinct Chief Zhou Hongde and three other officers broke into practitioner Ms. Du Liming's home at 2:30 p.m. on March 14, 2008. They confiscated about 30 Falun Dafa books, a copy of Master's picture, two Falun Dafa Lecture CDs, a printer ,and a copier. They arrested Ms. Du, Ms. Tang, Ms. Gong, and two women practitioners surnamed Zhao. They forcibly took these practitioners to the police station. Ms. Du's left arm and right foot were severely injured. Police ordered the practitioners to be fingerprinted. Later on they took Ms. Zhao and Ms. Tang to the Jilin City Detention Center.

Fengman Street Police Precinct chief Zhou Hongde confiscated more than 30 of Ms. Yu Fengqin's Falun Dafa books and arrested her on October 8, 2006.

Official Liang Xiqian ransacked practitioner Ms. Wei Xianzhi's home and confiscated some Dafa books and one of Master's pictures on July 25, 2007. Ms. Wei lives away from home to avoid arrest.

5. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Personnel from the Gongzhuling City Domestic Security Division arrested 65-year-old Ms. Zhuang Yalan, Mr. Zhang Yuke, and Ms. Yu Fengyun and her husband in the afternoon on March 4, 2008. They are being held at the city's detention center.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Held in the City's Detention Center

A practitioner surnamed Wang from Qingzhou City and a woman practitioner from Huanglou Town were arrested and put in the city's detention center on March 11, 2008. A practitioner surnamed Liu from Huanglou Town was also taken to the city's detention center.

7. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zheng Huiwang Held in the Baoding City No.1 Prison

Mr. Zheng Huiwang from Bazhou City was transferred from the Bazhou City Detention Center into the Baoding City No.1 Detention Center and sentenced to ten years in prison on March 15, 2008.

8. [Huinan County, Jilin Province] Supplemental Information Regarding the Arrests of Five Practitioners

Ms. Ye Guilan, Ms. Wang Shulan, Ms. Ma Shiyan, Ms. Li Fengqin and Ms. Sun Baili distributed Falun Gong truth materials in Yangzishao Town, Huinan County, the night of November 12, 2007. Policeman Zhou arrested them and put them into the Beishan Detention Center in Chaoyang Town. They have been held for more than four months, and their families have not been allowed to visit.

9. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Police Harass Mr. Wang Yafu

Personnel from the Xiajiabao Town Police Station often harass Mr. Wang Yafu from Huangtun Village, Xiajiabao Town, Qingyuan County. Mr. Wang was just released, but the police station chief Lu Xuewei and Huangtun Village Party Secretary Zhang Guoli broke into Mr. Wang's home and attempted to arrest him the night of March 6, 2008. Fortunately, Mr. Wang escaped, but he now lives elsewhere.

10. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Gao Shuzhong Sentenced to Forced Labor and Held at the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp

11. [Shuihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Shuhua Arrested

Zhao Qingxue and three other officers from the Lanxi County Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Li Shuhua from Lanxi County, Shuihua City, in Harbin City at 4:00 p.m. on March 17, 2008. They ransacked her home and confiscated the following items: 12,000 yuan cash, a desktop computer with an LCD monitor, two Laser printers, two color printers, 10 boxes of white paper, six MP3 players, three MP4 players, 40 copies of Zhuan Falun, a DVD player, and a paper-cutter.

12. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Domestic National Security Division plainclothes officers arrested four practitioners including Ms. Zhu Xiuhua from the Bingcaoguang District, Panzhihua City, on March 6, 2008. The arrest happened when the practitioners explained the facts about Falun Gong in the Zhuhuyuan Area. One practitioner escaped, but three others were put in the Wanyaoshu Detention Center.

13. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] The Police Arrest Ms. Lu Shuhua and Ms. Wang Xiufen

Police arrested Ms. Lu Shuhua from her home in Pingdu City on March 10, 2008. The police extorted 10,000 yuan from her family and then released her.

Police arrested Ms. Wang Xiufen from her home in Pingdu City and ransacked the place on March 12, 2008.

14. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] The Police Arrested Ms. Wang Xuejuan and Mr. Wang Shoufeng

Personnel from the Changyi County 610 Office arrested Ms. Wang Xuejuan from her home and confiscated some Falun Gong truth materials on March 12, 2008.

Personnel from the 610 Office arrested Mr. Wang Shoufeng from his home and confiscated a TV, a computer, a satellite dish, and a set of DVDs of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Where he is being detained is unknown.

15. [Shanghai] The Persecution of Mr. Lu Jinquan and His Sister, Ms. Lu Jinfen

Personnel from the Shanghai 610 Office arrested Mr. Lu Jinquan and his sister, Ms. Lu Jinfen. Ms. Lu was sentenced to one year of forced labor and is presently being held at Qingpu Women's Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Lu was sentenced to two years of forced labor. He went on a hunger strike. Guards in Zhoupu Prison force-fed him in February 2008 and refused to let Mr. Lu's son visit him.

16. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhu Hongxin Arrested

Personnel from the Leqing City 610 Office arrested Mr. Zhu Hongxin from Wuhan City in Hongqiao Town, Leqing City, Zhejiang Provinc,e the night of March 12, 2008. She is presently being held in Leqing City Detention Center.

17. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Dongmei Arrested

Personnel from the Wolong Police Station in Nanyang City arrested Ms. Li Dongmei and ransacked her home on March 12, 2008. Ms. Li is presently being held at the Shangzhuang Detention Center.

18. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Ming Arrested

Jiangyang District Domestic Security Division chief Lin Min led more than 10 officers and broke into Mr. Yang Ming's home at 10:00 p.m. on March 13, 2008. They arrested Mr. Yang and ransacked his home. They also took Mr. Yang's mothe,r Ms. Wei Fuying, away. The mother and son are still in detention in an unknown location. Mr. Yang's father is old and has several illnesses, but there is no one to take care of him.

19. [Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiuqin Arrested

Personnel from the Sanhe City Police Department and from the Yanjiao Police Station arrested 60-year-old Ms. Wang Xiuqin from Beixiangkou Village the morning of March 15, 2008. They ransacked her home and confiscated a cell phone, a recorder, a T,V and an MP3 player. Ms. Wang is presently being held at the city's detention center.

20. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Police Persecute Mr. Wan Hongxu

Mr. Wan Hongxu, 62 years old, is from Houji Village, Landi Town, Pingdu City. Personnel from the Hefei District Police Station in the Shibei District and from the Landi Police Station in Qingdao City arrested Mr. Wan and ransacked his home on March 14, 2008. The police took him to the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City.

21. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Shuhui Held in the Weizigou Detention Center

Personnel from the Dongdaqiao Police Station arrested 70-year-old Ms. Yang Shuhui on March 8, 2008. The arrest happened when she explained the facts about Falun Gong near the Dongdaqiao Area in Changchun City. She is presently being held at the city's Weizigou Detention Center.

22. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] The Persecution of Mr. Liu Yingxu and Mr. Yan Xiaoping

Eight officers from the Yingkoumen Police Station in Chengdu City arrested Mr. Liu Yingxu and Mr. Yan Xiaoping from their rented home the night of November 14, 2007. Police confiscated their laptop computers, a cell phone, a VCD player, and some other items. Mr. Liu and Mr. Yan were put into the Chadianzi Brainwashing Center and the Xinjin Brainwashing Center, respectively.

Mr. Liu had a visit from his parents on January 31, 2008. Mr. Liu from Mianzhu County, Deyang City used to be employed at the Dongfang Steamship Factory.

An arrest certificate was issued for Mr. Yan, who is presently in the Chengdu City Detention Center.

Mr. Yan from Deyang City used to be employed at the Chinese No.2 Industrial Group.

Both men were fired for practicing Falun Gong and were previously sentenced to forced labor twice.

23. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Personnel from the Huaiqiao Township Police Station Arrest a Practitioner

Four practitioners went to Xiaodiba Village to distribute Falun Gong truth clarification materials the night of March 2, 2008. Personnel from the Huaiqiao Township Police Station in Quzhou County arrested a practitioner and put him/her into a detention center. The other three escaped.

24. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Personnel from the Fumin County Police Department arrested Ms. Ye Chunyan, Ms. Li Nan, and Mr. Lin Tianqing from Kunming City at 11:40 a.m. on March 8, 2008. The arrest happened when the three practitioners distributed Falun Dafa truth clarification materials in Fumin County. Officers from the Fumin County Police Department, from the Xishan District 610 Office, and from the Kunming City 610 Office ransacked the three practitioners' homes at 4:00 p.m. on March 11, 2008. They confiscated some Dafa books and a computer.

25. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Jiao'e Arrested

Ms. Zhang Jiao'e, a retired employee from the Jinshuizha Farm's Tile Factory in the Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, went to Guangzhou City to see a relative. Personnel from the Huazhou Police Station in the Haizhu District arrested her at around 4:00 a.m. on March 13, 2008. Police took her Lanzhou Detention Center and refused to let her family visit.

26. [Beijing] Ms. Zhu Quandi and Ms. Yao Ziping Arrested

Police arrested Ms. Zhu Quandi and Ms. Yao Ziping, two retired employees from the Aviation Material Research Institute in the Haidian District, Beijing, in February 2008.

27. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] The Persecution of Mr. Wang Yuqing

Mr. Wang Yuqing from Guangzhou City was arrested from his home at 9:00 a.m. on February 22, 2008. He was put in the Haizhu District Detention Center. His family went to visit him but were turned away.

When Mr. Wang's family went to visit him again on March 12, 2008, police gave the family a verdict, stating that Mr. Wang was sentenced to forced labor for a year on March 5, 2008.

Mr. Wang has been on a hunger strike for several days and is extremely weak. His family wanted to bail him out, but the police refused their demand.

28. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Wei Secretly Transferred

Personnel from the Ziyou Avenue Police Station in Changchun City took Mr. Li Wei back from the city's No.2 Detention Center the afternoon of March 12, 2008. They handcuffed him to a chair for two days and then transferred him somewhere unknown for further detention on March 15, 2008.

29. [Yi County, Hebei Province] Police Arrest Three Practitioners

Personnel from the Peishan Police Station and the Yi County Police Department Domestic Security Division chief Tian Guojun arrested Ms. Zhang Shiying, Ms. Li Baoji,n and Ms. Ma Shuzhen and her husband, Ma Chengjiang, the morning of March 4, 2008, and ransacked their homes. Police confiscated a computer, a CD burner, some Dafa book, and nearly 10,000 yuan in cash from Ms. Zhang's home.

Personnel from the Dongsheng Police Station arrested five practitioners at Ms. Zhao Guirong's home on March 6, 2008, as they studied the Fa together. Four of them are presently being held at the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City, and the other practitioner has been released. The four practitioners are Ms. Feng Yanli and Ms. Bai Yonghua from Xuanhua City, and Ms. Zhao Guirong and Ms. Yang Meilan from Huai'an City.

32. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xie Zhutao Arrested

Police arrested Mr. Xie Zhutao from Anlu City the afternoon of March 9, 2008. Security Section chief Lu Yongmin from the Cotton Factory ransacked Mr. Xie's home and confiscated a few Dafa books and a recorder.

33. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Zhiyuan and Ms. Zhang Jihong from the Tiexi District Arrested

34. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Chun Arrested

Ms. Zhang Chun from the Wuchang District, Wuhan City, was arrested at 9:00 p.m. on March 14, 2008, for posting Falun Dafa truth clarification flyers in Zhongnan Street.

35. [Wuji County, Hebei Province] Ms. Jun Ting Arrested

Personnel from the Nanmeng Police Station arrested Ms. Jun Ting, a Wuji County teacher, at noon on March 16, 2008. The arrest happened when Ms. Jun explained the Falun Gong facts in Nanmeng Village, Gaocheng County. She is presently being held at the county's detention center.

Mr. Yi Siheng from Chongqing was arrested in Guangzhou City. He is presently being held at the Haizhu District Detention Center.
